Greet your guide in a central Zurich location and climb aboard a comfortable coach destined for Grindelwald. Receive a fascinating introduction to the Bernese Oberland region as you travel through the beautiful countryside and then refresh with a hot beverage (own expense) during a brief interlude in Interlaken.

Travel onward to Grindelwald to board the gondola Eiger Express of the newly opened V-Cableway for a ride to the Eiger Glacier station, where you change for the cogwheel train headed to one of Europe’s highest points. Marvel at dramatic mountain scenery during the ride up the UNESCO-listed Jungfraujoch mountain pass, and scour the horizon for the jagged peaks of the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau mountains.

On arrival at the 11,332-foot (3,454-meter) summit, gaze at mind blowing views of the Alpine wonderland below, and then ascend to the Sphinx Observatory for even more magnificent panoramas. Try to spot the craggy peak of the Aletsch Glacier, Europe’s longest glacier, and then explore the frozen tunnels of the Ice Palace during an enchanting guided tour.

Opt to enjoy a fulfilling meal at one of the many rustic restaurants at the summit (own expense) and then re-board the train for the journey to Lauterbrunnen, where your coach awaits. Relax during the journey back to Zurich, where the tour concludes.

Must Do Day Excursion in Alps

One of the most stunningly beautiful excursions I have done. Jungfraujoch is simply amazing and a must see. The amount of stuff there to see, us photo opportunities along the way is a must for anyone trying to capture this beauty. The bus was very nice. If you are like me, sit below. It gets hot on top and the AC can only do so much. Know that you cannot eat or drink on the bus, which is a bummer but understandable. They do sell water for 2 Francs. This trip is well worth the time and cost. You will be tired but amazed by the sights and various modes of transportation.

Our hosts were friendly, multi-lingual, and prompt. The bus was hot and overcrowded stooping multiple times to pick up and drop off. The views and facilities at Summit are a must see but it was a long trip

As with everything timely in Swizterland, the trip started off on dot at 8.00am. It was a long day, but a very well-timed tour. Eduardo and Sue, our guides for the day were very knowledgeable and constantly telling us about the history of the city and the many tunnels as we drove through them. At our first stop at Interlaken, we were informed well about what we could do in the hour's time that we had in Interlaken. From here, we drove through scenic views to our gondola point at Eiger. Our gondola ride was to last about 25 minutes, but due to some technical fault we got stuck mid-way for an hour(the first time in the history of the gondola since the start of its operation). Not the fault of the tour company. Sue, who accompanied us in our gondola was very patient and kept reassuring all of us in the gondola. Finally, the gondola moved after an hour and we reached the point to board the train. Here, Eduardo assured us that we would have enough time even though our arrival was later than expected. Meeting points after getting off the train upon reaching Jungfraujoch were clearly communicated. We had a fabulous time up on the mountain as well walking around the Ice Palace. Our drive back to Zurich was also very smooth. Due to the delay on the gondola, the company offered complimentary chocolates to every passenger on board. My daughter and I thoroughly enjoyed this experience of a lifetime!

We had an absolute great time! Jorge Medellin was enthusiastic, energetic and very informative! You can tell he enjoys his work, cares about his clients and super personable. We enjoyed having him! We got so lucky with the weather! Prior coming from San Francisco, weather forecast stated rain/snow the entire week but miraculously the Monday of our tour was sunny!!!!!! 😊 The tour was so worth it, we had so much fun in the snow and the sights were magnificent ! We definitely recommend doing it. Who would would want to mess with driving, taking a tram, train..when all you have to do is show up and all the tickets taken care of for you. Plus you get all the information and history lesson at the same time! 😊

The travel agency did not have tickets for us. In fact they said they did not do these trips on Wednesdays and wondered how we were able to book this. Keep in mind, I've had this booked for over a year now. One would think thst would've been caught before we arrived in Zurich. The only reason for making a stop on our 25 day anniversary trip in Zurich was for the long & much anticipated swiss alp tour for which we paid $600.00. We arrived at the pickup point that morning and I reached out to the agent letting them know no one was there. I spoke with Amanda who was very helpful and she tried to line up a private tour but it would not include the sites we wanted to see. In the end we asked for a refund and Hope to come back to Zurich in the future to do the Swiss Alp tour.
