70-Minute York Evening River Cruise

Had a really lovely time, it was a nice chilled end to the evening even in the rain! The staff were all great! Definitely woth doing when in york.😊

It was a nice steady cruise up the river and the bar was a welcome touch.Unfortunately not the best if you were looking for an evening/night sight seeing tour as not much to be seen really….

There was nothing at all to see except trees and water and a few boats not what I expected at all if it wasn’t for the music would have fallen asleep

Couldn’t find where we had to get on boat tried to phone to ask directions but was no answer as lines closed so missed the boat family upset and wasted nearly £70 won’t be booking with company again

It was a lovely evening cruise along the river which both me and my partner enjoyed, the staff were friendly and facilities where all in line with covid guidelines. The only thing I'd mention is the card machine wasn't working on our journey so we were unable to buy another glass of fizz as we had no cash, be sure to have some on you just in case.

I really am at a loss for words but here goes... When I paid £15 for a ticket I expected this trip to be cute and romantic but I wasn’t expecting much to be quite honest. I mean how far can £15 get you nowadays? Well I was beyond wrong. I was meant to be in the Maldives and instead ended up in York (I’m a london boy for those wondering!) - very different and very random. I planned on proposing to my boyfriend and figured a perfect 9pm trip along the canal would be gorgeous for that. As we got on the boat, we were immediately greeted by Kayleigh who was a total doll and provided us with complimentary prosecco as part of the ticket. I informed Kayleigh on the sly about my plan and she absolutely just went above and beyond in every way possible. (I really do apologise to the driver of the boat as I cannot remember his name!) Kayleigh accepted my request to film the proposal as we sail along in the sunset and she delivered in every way possible. With absolute discretion, Kayleigh and the lovely fella in control of the boat delivered some of the best customer service I’ve ever experienced, and I mean ever let alone for a boat trip. I am beyond words at how this turned out as the team even allowed me to play one song on the speaker to which I proposed to followed by the bigger cheers from the other passengers. The team ensured the view was absolutely perfect so the video and proposal was captured at the exact right moment and the pictures have come out beautiful. Kayleigh - I couldn’t have done this without you. Thank you so much for making our journey truly unforgettable and for capturing a moment for us that we will cherish forever. Thank you both for going way above your job description and just being so lovely. On behalf of Stefan and myself - we really cannot thank you enough. To whom this may concern - get them a pay rise ASAP!!! Thank you so much! To any couple that is debating this or for anyone who wants to plan a pleasant surprise or even a proposal - this is it. Do it. Choose your time wisely and check the weather ahead - I was lucky to have the sunset.
