Chi Chi Group to Whistler
Jody
, Jul 2022
Charlie was a hoot and very knowledgeable. He was funny, accommodating, and even entertained us during unexpected traffic on our way back from Whistler. The pit stops to Shannon Falls, Porteau Cove, and the fresh water glacier view point was a bonus. The ride was smooth and the vehicle was very clean, and water was offered. Highly recommend!

COMMUNICATION
I had to call several times as I had a few questions I wanted to clarify. All times I had reached out to a rep from Bentley Tours & Charters Sightseeing Vancouver, they were very helpful.
DAY-OF
The pick-up for myself went smoothly. I have abandonment issues so I always arrive crazily early before scheduled appointment/date/pick-up just to make sure they don't miss them.
During the drive and stops, our driver/tour guide (Jenny) provided enough commentary where the ambiance on the bus that never felt awkwardly silent or annoyingly too much - just right. Bonus: she has a nice voice so that's helpful.
She provided our small group enough time at each stop and I am very satisfied with the time given to us.
She was very informative and approachable. For someone working on a holiday, she was very sweet and nice and patient.
OVERALL
I would recommend this trip to anyone who is interested in seeing beautiful sights, pleasant guide and wants to take a nice relaxing exploration part of North Vancouver.
Thank you Jenny!

not worth it

It is better to go Whistler using cheapest tour or public bus. this guy Fred did not stop at the scheduled places and only gave about 165 minutes in Whistler and was shouting as he wanted to give only 2.5 hours. The tour specifies at-least 4 hours. I see on Viator there are other cheap options, the tour company Bentley tours took the price of high end tour but gave the low end tour. I talked to folks in Vancouver and Banff and they told me the same.

Vancouver, Shannon Falls & Whistler, Sea Everything Tour

Although there was poor communication between the tour guide/driver and the tour office staff involving the pick-up time which was delayed more than an hour due to traffic issues, the rest of the tour went well and on time. If not for that annoying glitch, we would have rated the tour "excellent." The tour guide/driver was very friendly and knowledgeable. We enjoyed his commentary and learned a lot as we toured Vancouver and then stopped at Horseshoe Bay, which was very picturesque. The drive along the Sea to Sky Highway was truly worth experiencing. The walk to get a closer look at dramatic Shannon Falls was perfect for stretching our legs. The time at Whistler was adequate to take the series of gondolas, enjoy the beautiful scenery from the summit, and still enjoy a relaxing lunch at the Village before returning to Vancouver. This was a varied and scenery-packed tour that allowed us to explore and appreciate Vancouver, Whistler, and points in between.

horrible experience

I am still shocked at the experience we had. I use viator for trips and never came across something like this. Our van stopped at Stanley park, shortly after leaving the town and we got back after taking photos. Some travelers were still outside. The driver approached us and said that he is sorry to ask us to leave the bus and he will give us money for a taxi to go back to our hotel. The reason was those who were waiting outside have refused to travel with us. We refused to leave and then the driver gave the phone to us to speak to his boss who said that all passengers in the van want us to quit. Then I asked from one of the people who were already on the van, who said they have not said so. I told the "boss" that if other people didn't want to travel with us it is not our problem, but to arrange alternative transport for them without canceling our trip which we planned for the last day in Vancouver. Then he suggested us to wait for him to pick us up and do the tour. Although I did not agree to this, my friends did not want to continue. So we got off the bus and 4 others were also with us. The people who didn't want to continue with us hand shaked and thanked the driver and uttered offensive things to us. Later the "boss" came in a much better vehicle- Mercedes and profusely apologised. We initially thought of getting a refund and leave as we were so upset with the whole encounter. But as he was well mannered and polite we decided to continue. Later we learnt that those who want us out were Americans. The other group were Canadians- born in Philippines. We had 3 doctors (Sri Lankans) and one engineer (UK citizen - born in SL) in our group. We travel often and this was an unforgettable and extremely unpleasant experience. The utmost racism occured in a democratic country is beyond belief. The whole situation was handled very unprofessionally. Throughout our holiday, we all were deeply disturbed emotionally. I wish to apologise for the long review, but we do not want anybody else to go through a similar experience.
We also took an Alaskan transfer from Whittier to Anchorage and at the very onset, the driver announced that people belonging to many nationalities, cultures and religions travel in the bus and everybody has to treat co- passengers equally and with respect, I would like to suggest to add a similar clause in your site terms and conditions- and if somebody thinks they are above other human beings, they should leave, not the others.
We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.

Sorting, ranking, and search results
Viator wants to make your searches as relevant as possible. That’s why we offer many ways to help you find the right experiences for you.
On some pages, you can select how to sort the results we display and also use filter options to see only those search results that meet your chosen preferences. You’ll see explanations of what those sort options mean when you select them.
You’ll see some experiences with a “Promoted” badge, which means that the operators of those experiences have agreed to pay Viator more to have their experience highlighted.
If you see an Experience Award Winner label, the award is based on average review ratings, share of bookings with a review, and number of bookings through Viator over a 12-month period.
The importance of any one factor over any other in a sort order varies, and the balance is constantly being reviewed and adjusted. We’re always updating our systems and testing new ways to refine and improve your results to make them as relevant as possible to meet your needs.
