Not a tour; simply a private "taxi".

First, the driver texted us a couple of days in advance to ask if we could switch the tour from a 9 am pickup to a 2 pm pickup. Driver said that there was too much traffic in Cannes in the morning, due to something in the town that morning. So we went with the driver's advice, and made the switch. The driver picked us up, and then said we were going to skip Cannes, because there's not much to see there anyway. Hmmm, how about we decide that for ourselves after we go to the cities we were promised to visit? Then the driver dropped us off in St. Paul de Vence, and told us to look around for a while, and then meet him back at the van at such-and-such a time. So this was not "tour" of any kind. This guy was simply a driver. He provided little to no information about the places we would be seeing. We could've saved a lot more booking an Uber or using the train, because we didn't get a tour guide at all. He was simply a man behind the wheel. Plus, the tour is promoted as being a 5-hour 1/2 day tour. We were back to Nice in 4 hours. Totally not worth it. Viator, your tour operator let us down on this one! :(

I am really confused about all your comments. This is the first time I read this kind of comment regarding our team. As you can read on other comments, our staff friendliness and very professional is usually one of our main assets. I have passed a copy of your comment to our guide as it was really upset for us to read it. It’s our priority to take the required steps in order to maintain our usual quality of services. Regarding Cannes it was MIPIM and there were lots of places that were closed for tourists as the MIPIM held at Cannes Festival Area and everything is closed, but however I do apologize for all inconveniences that you have had.
We hope that we will have the opportunity to welcome you again someday and make you change your mind regarding all of this. Note that once in French Riviera we’ll be very happy to offer you a ride.

Our expectations are quite high, and they were far exceeded with this tour and company!
Booking online was easy, confirmation and all communication was quick, attentive, and extremely helpful! We booked a couple days out, and were very pleased with the time options. We were given our tour guide's name and contact info in advance, and I cannot emphasize enough, how responsive and accommodating the company was! We were picked up promptly (actually our guide was early) in a spacious, clean, well-maintained Mercedes Benz van.
Our tour guide Evie was simply amazing from the start! She started by asking us our priorities and preferences, and customized our routes and time frames based on that. She was highly attentive, knowledgeable, informative, flexible, and most importantly, seems to really enjoy what she does!
We booked the private tour on our honeymoon as a splurge, but walked away feeling that we got a great deal! The private tour would also be great for groups of friends or families. Cannot recommend this option and company enough!
