This tour covers a lot of ground in and around Grand Canyon National Park, so its an early morning pickup from your Flagstaff or Sedona hotel to kick off your day of travel via mini-coach.

Wupatki National Monument is your first major stop. As your guide explains, the ancient Native American civilization of Sinagua lived here for 400 years. Then ancient desert dwellers witnessed the dramatic eruption of Sunset Crater Volcano nearly a millennium ago, which destroyed their homes and forced them out. Your tour includes a visit to the lava fields at Sunset Crater Volcano National Monument.

Take a break from touring with a stop for lunch at the historic Cameron Trading Post. The view of the Little Colorado River Gorge from the deck here is especially striking.

After lunch, re-board your mini-coach to head into the Grand Canyon for an afternoon of exploring this magnificent natural wonder. Stop at lookout points along the canyon's East Rim and South Room for dramatic vistas of gorges below. There's time at leisure for exploring on your own at your own pace.

Throughout the entire day, whether you're exploring by foot or on the mini-coach, your expert guide teaches you about the history, archaeology, geology, and flora and fauna of the Grand Canyon and the surrounding area.

Explore Beyond the Grand Canyon

I am beyond happy that my tour guide was Chip! He did amazing telling and giving information about the sights and places... From History, climates, amd background information. He gave us enough time to explore at each stop which allowed me to take it all in. I loved the Lava Lake, Grand Canyon, and visiting the ruins of the Wupatki National Monument. He was easy to converse and connect with. Has a sense of humor as well!

We had a personable, knowledgeable guide who made all of us feel comfortable from the moment we were picked up at our hotel. The drive to Flagstaff was filled with beautiful Fall colors. We walked on volcanic ashe at Sunset Crater and were introduced to Quaking Aspens. Off the beaten path were the ruins Of the Watkapi. The history was fascinating. Lunch at Cameron Trading Post was delicious. Don't hesitate to order fried bread! There are no words which come close to describe our Grand Canyon experience. However, inspiring beauty is an attempt. Our guide knew all the best viewing sites to create a lifetime of memories of a truly incredible experience. We appreciated the in depth information from Sheldon who was attentive to fulfilling everyone's vision of our Grand Canyon Tour. ..

My husband and I got married on Monday and took this tour on Wednesday. By far the best trip we’ve had. Chip, our tour guide, was so knowledgeable and personable. He made us laugh and shared so much knowledge with us. Our new friends on the tour also were awesome, celebrating our marriage with us! Such a memorable experience. I would highly recommend!

We traveled as a family of four (two kids under 10). The small group setting felt safe and interactive. We enjoyed the fellowship with other guests. JR was a wonderful guide and host, from start to finish. JR’s experience shone through and shared important facts and history of the surrounding area. He took us to quiet view points so that we could take extraordinary photos. We are very appreciative!

A Grand Tour To The Canyon

, Oct 2021
We had a fabulous day from beginning to end with Sheldon. He was a great tour guide… extremely knowledgeable and prepared. The Grand Canyon is amazing and our experience couldn’t have been better due to his guidance. There’s no way our experience would’ve been as rewarding had we been on our own.
