Return Details

Returns to original departure point
After being picked up at your hotel in downtown Seattle, climb into a luxury vehicle and begin the journey to Olympic National Park.

The park features snow-covered mountains, rain forests, and the majestic Pacific coastline. There are remote beaches, plus the country’s oldest forests and one of Washington’s most dramatic mountain ranges. The Olympic Peninsula is home to some of the greatest wilderness left in the United States, including sixteen species of plants and animals that evolved here—and nowhere else. Enjoy short, interpretive nature walks throughout the day. If there is enough snow for snowshoeing, the guide will bring all the necessary equipment.

Learn forest ecology and the geology of the stunning Olympic Mountains. Weather permitting, drive up to Hurricane Ridge for incredible mountain views and spot wildlife and waterfalls along the scenic routes. Visit the pristine waters of stunning Crescent Lake in the northern foothills of the Olympic Mountains. This lake was carved by glaciers, so it’s an ideal spot for those in search of natural beauty. On days when weather closes access to Hurricane Ridge, visit the sandy coastline of the Dungeness Wildlife Refuge or spend more time among the forests and waterfalls of the Elwha Valley.

At midday, a gourmet picnic is provided. Please see the Itinerary section for menu information.

We had the most wonderful day trip out to Olympic Park. Marty was our guide and he was top notch! We were able to snowshoe hurricane ridge and check out crescent lake and a waterfall. Marty was extremely knowledgeable and friendly and provided us with delicious lunch and snacks throughout the day. The trip was overall a wonderful experience and a great choice if you would like to see Olympic park but are intimidated by the idea of doing it on your own.

It was a great tour! Such big amazing contrast: from rainforests to snow mountains. The trip by ferry was lovely: in the early morning we could enjoy the beautiful view of Seattle waking up while in the evening its wonderful night lights. Olympic mountains filled us with energy! A lot of snow, picturesque views, lots of fun with cool guide Sean made this trip unforgettable!

Wonderful Day

Marty Marty Marty. What can I say except thank you for a fabulous day. Pickup time was spot on, scenery was spectacular and we were blessed with blue sky all day long. Hurricane Ridge and the hike up Hurricane Hill was exactly what my soul needed. Lunch was delicious and the scenery for our picnic was out of this world, I kept thinking Julie Andrews was going to come out and sing us a song. Martys knowledge of wildlife, the mountains, and such made for a very informative day. Next time to Mt Rainer with Marty. Thanks for being you Marty.

Loved it - worth your time

You have to love what you do otherwise it wouldn't be joyful for you and this goes double for the hospitality business. My two tour guides - peyton (olympic national park) and clay (mt rainer) absolutely love what they do and it shows. Kudos for evergreen escapes for finding such talented people. Different food options were exquisite and sourced locally - trail snacks, cookies, coffee and lunch- salad, pasta and chicken w/ local red wine was fulfilling and esp important on the second day after the hike. Day one with peyton was fun - he has a collection of dad jokes, corny jokes and fun family friendly cringe worthy jokes, car games which made the car ride so fun. The tour itself was gorgeous, weather was cooperative - it only rained long enough for us to scramble to put on our rain jackets and it stopped. The hike was mild, lunch delicious, waterfall breathtaking, forest hike tranquil. The group was amazing as well. All in all well worth the time and money though we could have spent longer on the hike - it doesn't take away anything. Day 2 with Clay was comparatively strenuous as the group as a whole decided we wanted a longer and higher hike experience which ended up being a 2.5 hour, 5.5 mile hike with 1250 ft elevation. We had fun deciphering what mushrooms, birds and animals we saw and on the ride back - everyone got a quick shut eye
