Reynolds Square is where you'll meet your guide to kick off your walking tour of Savannah, nicknamed the Garden City or Hostess City of the South. In this square, you'll find some of the most interesting historic buildings in the city, as it was the center of colonial government in the 1700s.

Admire the park-like squares, tree canopies and floral landscapes of this pretty city as you take a leisurely stroll through the streets and squares of the downtown area and Old Savannah. Your guide will share stories about Savannah’s role as a strategic port city during the American Revolution and Civil War before ending your tour back at Reynolds Square.

Great introductory tour of Savannah. A lot of history, cultural references (Forrest Gump, Midnight in the Garden of Good and Evil), a few haunted tales. Our guide was excellent.

Our tour guide was very knowledgeable about savanna, also answered questions that the tour didn’t go over. He would stop and wait for the group together before telling you about a subject.

Excellent tour with a very knowledgeable guide! Brad was so informative, and answered all of our questions. The walk is very doable and a slow pace with places to stand or sit and listen. Watch your step in the uneven bricks, and it’s a good tour for every age. My 7 and 10 year old sons survived as well.

History without the spin

Excellent historical information. Not clouded by modern politics. Great value for the material provided and the length of the tour.

Thank you so much for the kind words! We do our very best to present all aspects of history as they happened. The good and the bad. It’s getting increasingly difficult to convey the true message of history these days without someone getting offended. We certainly hope you can come visit our city again and take another tour with us!!
