    Afternoon tour of Santiago

We chose the pickup from airport/return to airport option There was some confusion for various reasons, but we were picked up 30 minutes late from the airport (were able to communicate through What's App). We were taken into the city and our luggage was put in the tour agency's office for safe keeping. We got a bottle of water each, which was nice and needed. We spent around two hours walking/touring in the town center, which was a nice experience. Then we went to the park where the cable car took us to the viewpoints overlooking the city. This was also a nice experience. We were given some time to walk around this area and then went back to pick up our luggage (very close to park) and back to the airport. Our time was limited and we got a nice overview and tour of the city. we would recommend this option, if you have enough time in your layover and want to get a feel for Santiago.

Great introduction to Santiago! Jennie was knowledgeable and personable. In the 5 hours we saw many different parts of the city and learned a lot of its history. A highlight was the cable card ride. It was wonderful to have our own driver and guide for the 4 of us traveling together.

This was a private tour for 2 people, with a tour guide and driver. Our guide was very knowledgeable and flexible, and asked about our interests before beginning the tour. She customized it to our objectives and schedule, taking us to key sites that represented Santiago and provided insights into the culture and life of the city. Of special interest were tours of the markets, which gave us a greater taste for the life of the local people of the city and not just tourist attractions. Our driver was very safe and we felt comfortable at all times.
