Ingólfur Square , Austurstræti 4 101, 101 Reykjavík, Iceland

We meet up at Ingolfstorg Square in the center of Reykjavik by the two stone high seat pillars (Over 2 meters high), The square is at the beginning of Austurstræti (Austurstræti 1) and is squared off by the streets Aðalstræti, Hafnarstræti, Veltusund, and Vallarstræti. If you walk down Laugavegur (The main shopping street) please just continue all the way down until you come to the square always walking straight down until you can't continue further. On the Ingolfur square itself, you can see Kvosin a small grocery market and finally Center Hotel Plaza. We recommend for people to use Google Maps or something similiar because the Icelandic street names can be tricky :).

Our guide was so knowledgeable and friendly. She took pictures of us to send to us. She was able to answer all our questions even about the trees and flowers.

Not worth it!

Not worth it! Just going around the main areas with a guide telling some vague stories. The guide was a nice guy but the tour itself was a waste of time and money. You are better off just going around yourself.

Bardi is your guy!

Via a stroke of luck and the company not cancelling on a smaller than the small group tour we booked, we had a great time with our tour guide Bardi (I don’t have the proper Icelandic letters!). He took us to so many places and told us such great stories. We were able to ask a lot of questions and just pick his brain. He was super knowledgeable and a great time over all.

We did this tour on day 1 of our trip to get our bearings and learn about the city and history. We learned a lot and got to see and understand far more than we would have by ourselves, and our guide was great, so friendly and happy to answer any and all questions we had.

The tour guide (sorry I don’t remember names well, began with a B) was excellent. Very knowledgeable, good sense of humour to make the tour fun. Plenty of historical knowledge on the areas we visited was shared and he did an excellent job of introducing us to a lot of the culture. Very good job from him and was very happy with the tour, please pass on our thanks to him.

Wonderful experience. Ben was a fun and energetic guide who was very knowledgeable about Iceland and the food. We visited some excellent restaurants and the food was plentiful. Expensive versus normal food tours due to the quality and quantity of food but well worth it.

a walk through the snow

my guide waited 20 minutes for me. I was running late because of the snow fall.. He made it so that I would not have to wait for or get a taxi back to my hotel, by ending the tour closer to my hotel.
