After booking, the operator will contact you about pickup time.

Start with a Reykjavik hotel pickup, and travel inland by Super Jeep, a comfortable 4x4 designed to negotiate rugged terrain.

As you travel, hear from your guide about Iceland’s volcanic geology and perhaps use the flexible itinerary to adjust the times you spend at each site, according to your group’s wishes.

Stop first at Thingvellir National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage Site since 2004. Learn how the landscapes have been formed over millennia, and absorb the contrast between the lush green vegetation and rich, black ground. See Lake Thingvallavatn, Iceland’s largest natural lake, and stop at Althing, where the world’s first parliament met in AD 930.

Travel on to Geysir, a geothermal field of hot springs, steam vents and the remnants of an old volcano. Stroll around the boiling mud pools and view Strokkur; the geyser that shoots hot water high in the sky every few minutes.

Continue to Gullfoss Waterfall, whose name means ‘Golden Falls,’ a reference to the shimmering, multi-colored mists that can sometimes appear above the waters. Admire the waterfall, whose waters plunge into a canyon, and if the weather permits, get close to the cascades.

As dusk falls, begin your quest for the Northern Lights. Iceland is one of the world’s best places to see them, and your all-terrain 4x4 and knowledgeable guide will allow you to identify and access the best potential viewing sites.

On your search, hear how the lights appear when cosmic rays, solar wind, and magnetospheric plasma interact with the upper atmosphere. Make stops to survey the dark skies, and with luck, enjoy a sighting. The pulsating colors of the lights, usually green and blue, split the darkness and sometimes shine brighter than the moon.

Your tour finishes with a hotel drop-off.

The best day of our trip to Iceland!
, Nov 2021
Cannot thank Adam enough for our tour! He was amazing and went above and beyond to make sure we had the most out of our day! He even offered to take us places not included in the tour! The weather forecast for our trip was not looking great, especially for seeing the Northern Lights, he said for us to take our swim wear so he could take us to the hot springs as the chance of seeing the lights was minimal. Once it got to the evening he said there is a small chance of seeing them but he was optimistic, however it was a 2 hour drive away! He didn’t have to do this drive but he was determined for us to see them! After many stops and it still looking cloudy we thought that was it… but then we got to the furthest point we could go and we saw them!!! Couldn’t believe our luck! Could not recommend Adam enough!
Great Experience!

Adam was a great guide....
, Oct 2021
Adam was a great guide. We got to see Game of Throne sights, waterfalls, and the Northern Lights! Our guide wasn't sure we would see the lights but we tried anyway and thank goodness we did! We have the most memorable pictures thanks to Adams lovely photography! He's also so passionate about the lights. This is a must do experience and I would totally book again!
Adam helped us get some fantastic photos of the Northern lights
, Mar 2020
My wife and I had the most memorable tour that we have ever experienced before. Adam was a fantastic guide, he was just so knowledgeable and informative. He filled the day with some really interesting facts for our information and he showed genuine care for us to get some snacks, drinks and dinner after completing the Golden Circle and prior to hunting the Northern Lights. His explanation of the geology and history of the country was fantastic. Adam's exceptional knowledge and help of photography was a valuable addition, and he was very happy to assist us with our shots. The fact that Adam is the sole owner/operator is a real bonus and his passion, made the tour a real highlight of our trip. We cannot recommend this tour highly enough and you get the added satisfaction of supporting a small business operator. Thanks heaps Adam.
An unforgettable day

We spent a week in Iceland and this tour was by far the best thing we did during our time there. Our tour guide Adam took us and a family of four in his jeep into the Icelandic countryside and we had a fantastic day of sightseeing and exploring. The tour is set up in a way that really makes you feel like you’re exploring and walking around Iceland rather than just being driven from place to place. Adam took us to the Tingvellir National Park where we walked around with snowshoes (he provided the kramp-ons for us) and he showed us beautiful places where most tourists didn’t go. At times it felt like we were the only people in the area and it was fantastic. We saw beautiful landscapes, waterfalls and a location from Game of Thrones. Then we went to the Geysir geothermal park and then to the Gullfoss waterfall (amazing place and one of our favourite parts of the tour). He then took us to a nice restaurant where we could have a relaxing meal while we waited for the night to settle and could start hunting the northern lights. It took us about 3 hours and we were beginning to give up hope when we got to experience one of the most fantastic sights of my life - a geomagnetic storm. We saw the aurora dancing and swirling across the sky in dazzling shades of green and purple.. it was one of the most beautiful sights I had ever seen. Luckily for us Adam is also a professional photographer and he had his own camera with which he took wonderful photos of all of us. It really felt like he went the extra mile to make sure that we had a great experience and to make the most of the day. All in all this tour gives you a real flavour of Iceland and it’s dramatic beauty and Adam is a great guide who will do his best to make sure you have a very memorable day. Don’t think about booking this tour, just do it.
Wonderful overview of Iceland’s main spots and Northern Lights in 10 hours!
, Mar 2020
A wonderful overview of Iceland’s main spots and attractions in 1 day, thanks to an amazing guide! We were 6 people in a big 4x4, all very sympathetic. Our guide gave us recommendations at each step of the journey, and did his best to find some northern lights, and we did. Tour Highly recommended!
Outstanding Experience!
, Feb 2020
Outstanding! Our tour guide was a wealth of information and went out of his way to accommodate each person in our group. On the day we toured, all indications were that the Northern Lights were not going to be seen. The forecast was for less than 10% chance for us to see them, so our guide offered many suggestions for us as alternatives. As two of our group wanted an activity different than the other four, he found a way to accommodate all of us. Four of us enjoyed a beautiful hike to frozen waterfalls and one of the sites where Game of Thrones was filmed, while the other two enjoyed the Secret Lagoon. He drove back and forth for several hours to ensure each of our needs were met. All day he had been in contact with weather reports and other people regarding the Northern Lights, and before our tour ended, he made the decision to drive north, despite the forecast, in an attempt to find them. Much to our delight, he was successful in his hunt and the six of us enjoyed more than an hour of watching and photographing a beautiful display of the Aurora Borealis! I highly recommend this tour operator! He went out of his way to ensure we had an amazing day!
Amazing Northern Lights

Golden Circle and Northern Lights
, Feb 2020
Adam was an amazing tour guide! Despite it being a cloudy and snowy night he found us the Northern Lights after an amazing day of sightseeing. A day that won’t be forgotten!
unique experience
, Dec 2019
Adam was a brilliant guide. He picked us up from our apartment and drove us to 3 sites along the Golden Circle which were so incredibly beautiful in the snow. He gave good advice for our safety and enjoyment of the sites, and was really knowledgable about the history and geology of the area, and answered all our questions. When darkness fell we drove to several locations to catch the lights, but the clouds covered the sky and the probability was low. He took us to an amazing natural spring while we waited, and we bathed under the stars and moon, with the snow twinkling around us - it really was an uforgettable experience. He really went the extra mile, and it made the most of our short tie in Iceland.
