Meet your host at Bryggjan Brewery in the heart of Reykjavik’s Old Harbour. For two hours of food and drink that celebrate local culture. Learn about the history of Iceland’s brewing as the host brings Iceland’s past to life, illustrating how locals survived and thrived in the harsh conditions of the far north. Taste a series of traditionally-brewed Icelandic ales along with more modern craft beers.

Try six courses of tapas style small plates, from fish that was caught just steps away from the restaurant to Icelandic lamb that was raised free-range in the northern mountains. Enjoy an informal and friendly atmosphere, with plenty of time to ask questions about eating, drinking and traveling in Iceland.

Meet fellow travelers and foodies, start conversations about Iceland’s current affairs and culture, and get the perfect overview of the Icelandic food scene in one perfect meal. After your meal is over, take time to explore the Old Harbor on your own or with new friends—this colorful, vibrant neighborhood is a wonderful place to browse shops, visit galleries and watch fishing boats come and go.

Loved my experience!!! Delicious small plates (yet filling) with beer pairings and I was closely guided by charming Santino who was so knowledgeable about the tasting, cuisine, his brewery and Iceland itself. I cannot imagine a better way I could have experienced the local healthy foods and delicious beers while learning and having fun. THANK U!!

Great beers and amazing food, alot of food. Tour takes place within the brewery which was fine with us.

Our "tour" was hosted by Santino at Bryggian Bugghus, down by the wharf. The tour involved no walking, just eating and drinking, making it my kind of tour. We were treated to six of their craft brews and six small tastings of Icelandic foods. Our beers included a dubbel, pilsner, lambic, ESB, pale ale and IPA. The pairings included shrimp, mussels, lamb, beef, salmon and ice cream made from one of their beers. YMMV. They serve whichever beers they've brewed most recently and whatever is freshest from the land and sea. We had about 20 people from all over the place on our tour. The tour lasts about 2 hours. Santino is a most amiable host. His explanations in English are clear and understandable, and comprehensive. If I make it back to Reykjavik I will take this tour again. And again.
One stop microbrewery experience

Excellent beers paired with great dishes. I was misguided in thinking it was a tour when in fact it was just one location for the event. I enjoyed our host and even got a tour of the brewing process! As a tour operator, I would change the name of this experience.

This is a great way to get to know other people who have traveled to this country. The beer and the food were good and our host Candy was nice. We were expecting more information regarding your country so that was the only thing missing from the evening.

We had an amazing time on the beer and food tasting tour. The amount of beer you get is well worth the price you pay. The information you get from the host and just by conversing with her is also unmatched. This was one of the highlights of our trip.
A raucous, fun filled experience

We had a wonderful experience on this trip. Candy, our guide, was knowledgeable and exuberant as she helped us all become acquainted both the beer and our fellow tasters. Thoroughly enjoyed this tasting tour!

the best part about this tour was that i met some amazing people!! the food and beer were great but the woman running the event was i believe filling in for someone else and didn't really have time to explain the beers and pairings to us. all in all, great time however she did not check out vouchers so we kept joking we would come back another time! -

This was great! We had quite a lot of beer and the sizes of the glasses surprised me. The lady who lead it made everyone socialise with each other and me as my partner actually ended up going out with another couple the night after.

We arrived at meeting place Mar Bar to be told that we had to go to the Bryggian Brewery which was about a 10 minute walk. This tour takes place in the Brewery so it is rather misleading. However we had a good time along with about 14 others and our hostess was very good. Overall we had a fun couple of hours but the meeting place instructions need to be amended and Tour removed from description.

Not a brilliant start - the address for the venue wasn't clear on the booking. We ended up quite lost and arrived late. The bar / brewery weren't expecting us, as they hadn't been informed of the booking - slightly awkward. We were sat in the restaurant area, which was a bit odd, but the atmosphere of the restaurant is lovely. There were only two of us on the 'tour' but the guide was friendly and informative. Generous samples of beer, and really nice tapas-style food. We stayed afterwards for dinner because we loved the atmosphere of the restaurant. Good value considering the cost of alcohol / food in Iceland, but the organisation / communication let it down somewhat.

This was a great experience. The servings are very generous and the six beers were very crisp to taste, must be the water! The six food pairings ranged from salmon, roast goose to ice cream. I would do it again as the value for money was very good considering how expensive food and drink is in Iceland.

There were far too many people for one event - about 28. It wasn't a tour at all. We stayed in one bar the entire time. The beer tasting was fine, but the tapas were minimal. We stopped for a decent meal on the way home. The event was way overpriced for the experience.

The tour was really great. The beer and the food were tasty. Need to improve on the directions on how to get to the facility. People leading the tour were really easy to talk to and with. I would recommend this tour.
