Well done tasting tour.

Well done tasting tour. The tour guide was very knowledgeable, and the wine stop was a highlight. We were worried that there might be some rain on this day, so we opted for a bus tour. Turned out to be great weather, and it wasn't a whole lot of time stuck in the bus.

Fun Little Tour

Our tour guide, Luc, was really funny and knowledgeable. We went to a nougaterie, a cidrerie, a winery, and a chocolaterie. We had a fair selection at each stop except the chocolaterie. They only gave one small square with no explanation of how it was made. They did serve ice cream, which you had to pay extra for. The other stops were great though.

This tour was wonderful! We moved quickly and efficiently through some highlights of the island. From chocolates to wine what more could you ask for. Peter was lovely and enhanced the tour with his quick wit and knowledge of the island. This was a great way to see the island before leaving our trip to Quebec.

It was the best tour i have ever had. We got to see the whole island. The food and drinks were all too good we spent so much on buying the products. Thank you Luke for being the best tour guide.

Great informative bus tour, but do not consider it a food & drink tour - small samples only.

Luke, our driver/guide, shared great information & added personal touches to it as we drove through Quebec City & Island of Orleans. It is important to note that this is more of an informative bus tour than it is a food & drink tour. The food & drink you receive is the same that you would receive if you went to these stops on your own. Do not go on this tour hungry & expecting to receive the amount of food you receive on a normal food tour. However, I still think it is a great informative tour & to get transportation for less than $40 per person.

Not what I expected.

The driver, Peter was very kind, informative of Quebec. The places were not what I expected, 2 wineries, a bite of candy, the chocolate dispenser. The chocolate dispensary was the best stop of the four. Thanks

Our tour guide/driver Peter was wonderul. However, we were only given samples of nougat and 1 piece of maple chocolate. I would consider this a tiny snack and not a substantial portion for a food & drink tour. I feel like my guests and I were deceived. I would have felt like I was on a "food" tour if I were given a small cup of a food it.em such as a poutine since that is so popular in Quebec. We did visit 2 wineries for tastings which were nice so at least they got the "drink " aspect of the food & drink tour right. This tour should be renamed or restructured. They could just bill this as a Winery Tour and just eliminate the nougat and chocolate stops.

The strawberries were so fresh and delicious. Luckily we were here in season. The nougat stop was actually really good. Make sure you spend the time watching the video, it was really interesting. The cider and wine stops were also very nice. Good selection of the taste of the island. Plus fabulous views from both sides of the bus.

Felt rushed…. The tour takes you to the island and around five stops with the smallest tastings. The island is beautiful.

Wonderful Tour

Our driver Yves was a great guide. He kept us on schedule and told us many things about the features and history that enhanced our understanding and appreciation of Quebec's rich history and culture. The timing for lunch was perfect, we got to eat bread and cheeses while we tasted wines. The Iced wine and iced cider tastings were special.

Skip the Island of Orleans Tasting Tour
Hannelore_W
, Jun 2022
Extremely boring narration by the driver. The tour showed little of the Island of Orleans and was intended not so much as a tasting tour as a way for the tour company to make money by herding the tour participants to points of sale of the various products. We were not shown any of the production of the products except a short video at the nougat factory, where none of the employees were actually producing the product. Live explanations of the productions would have been so much more interesting.

Based on some of the reviews we almost did not take this tour. We are very glad we did. It’s a great tour of a lovely little island with some enjoyable tastings. Peter was a fantastic and knowledgeable guide.
