Terezin Concentration Camp Day Tour from Prague

Great tour and info on the propaganda and atrocities during WWII. Definitely recommend doing this tour.

Very informative and interesting tour X very moving and somber. The guides were both knowledgeable. The woman bus driver was extremely rude. Started screaming at me as I was slow getting off the bus due to an injury.

Begins the whole sad history of the setting (fort and town) from its founding in 1780' and it's various uses since then, incl. of course, by the Nazis. . The tour guides, both the main guide - who is with us through most of the tour, starting and ending in Prague, and the local Terezin guide, were articulate, responsive, knowledgeable, and - as stated in the title above - hit the 'right note' (my opinion), which must be very much a challenge considering the grimness of the matter.

The two guides--one who accompanied us to and from the camp and one who showed us the prison--were both informative and easy to understand. The physical locations are, of course, somber. Both museums were first rate. Pity that the ghetto museum did not accept credit cards.

If you have enough time for a half day trip, this is an eye opening and worthwhile addition to your itinerary. We booked an English tour, and the shuttle guide was ok, though our group ended up being mixed with French and spanish so even the shortest insights got repeated 3 times. At the camp we had a local guide who was an absolute treat - passionate, informative, and very capable at painting an accurate picture of what was endured in the facility. This part was in English only and lasted an hour or so. The museums themselves (which were self guided portions) were full of information and artifacts that further completed a 360 degree view of the history, lives, fates and legacies of the prisoners. If your style of tourism is to learn as much about the local histories and culture as you can (both good and bad), you won't regret this trip. The holocaust must never be forgotten and this was a good way to learn about and honor the memory of the victims.

We missed our tour and the operator was gracious in offering a spot on next day's tour. Good service and the tour was given by a historian who was informative on way to terezin and back. Tour at the site was by guide from the site.

Trip was easy to book and easy place to find to get to bus. Guide was well educated and friendly. Was a great experience from and unfortunate part of history. Will use them again on my next trip!!
