Workshop in Paris: Create your Own Parfum

So sweet and friendly. This exceeded my expectations and made a lasting memory of my time in Paris and my love for perfumes and learning about it. THANK YOU!!!

We had so much fun in this workshop. Marina, our instructor, explained everything well and patiently and took her time showing up how to mix certain scents best. My teenage girls loved it just as much as I did. Thank you, Marina, for taking your time. We would do this anytime again. And we each took home a couple of different perfumes that are all amazing.

Most interesting with a very knowledgeable instructor! Relaxing and the afternoon flew by I would have preferred a smaller class maybe 6 people max but that is just me. Taking home a bottle of perfume that you created is very special indeed. Would have been nice to know that there were other options for the bottles available and that only cash was accepted.

I didn't know if my 13 year old daughter enjoyed it -- until I heard her telling her friends back home. I too enjoyed creating my own scent! So I was the only male in the room of about 15 people About 5 adults, the rest teenagers so my perspective may be little different from others. The workshop is in a large apartment room that's really charming. This is not a technical kind of teaching in how to make perfume, but you learn from experimenting and the end result is you come home with one large bottle and three of tiny experiments. My 13 year old daughter didn't seem like she was enjoying it during creation, but she is wearing her perfume now and telling her friends about her experience as a cool activity she did while in Paris. I felt like it was a great way to spend a few hours not walking around or sightseeing, and a memorable way to spend an afternoon that seems perfect for Paris. I enjoyed learning something completely new -- and I now have more nose for what goes into creating a unique scent. And as a dad, it was great to spend a couple hours with my daughter on something neither of us had expertise, and a great reminder every time I wear my unique cologne in the morning. The only thing I would change is the process in the end -- of choosing bottles and payment for extra stuff. Maybe there could be another sales person to come in so the exit would be faster.

This was a fun and interesting trip in a quiet setting. Our guide was excellent and helped us create a perfume to our individual liking. The group was small enough that we were well served...just the right size. I'm enjoying my perfume as much as any I have purchased from major perfumeries. And I get to name it...

My best advice for this activity would be to make sure you know what sort of perfume you like or at least a name of one you like as you are going to make a perfume it is best you come out with one you like. I think I was too uncertain and not really clear on the how to and needed more support in making of the perfume.With 50 essential oils it can be a little daunting for some.
