Brought history to life!

This was a delightful tour of three fascinating castles. They were in varying degrees of restoration. One was so fully restored, it was like stepping back in history. All of them did an excellent job of providing fascinating context that made it more meaningful. The tour uses individual listening devices which enabled each of us to explore at our own pace. The lunch was terrific and far exceeded expectations.

Off to the Loire Castles!

The driver/guide was very personable, on time for hotel pickup, great sense of humor, informative, affable. The minivan was very comfortable to ride those many miles to the destinations. Loved visiting all the castles, but a bit rushed. Perhaps, time would be better if only 2 castle visits were scheduled as opposed to 3. There was lunch at Chateau Chenonceau, delicious chicken dish! Would I recommend the tour? Yes, just wear very comfortable shoes, and take rain gear! Enjoy!

Loire valley bby mini-van from Paris, Friday, November 8

There were only 2 other ladies, from TN and TX, on this full day tour from Paris. Our driver guide, Celine, was outstanding in her command of English as her 2nd language, providing the 4 of us with history, facts, stories of what we were about to see during the first part of the drive from Paris and at each of the 3 castles; answering all of our questions. This tour was well worth the rate per person and I will highly recommend it to all traveling to, and spending multiple nights, Paris. Thank you.

Loire Valley Castles

Please note that we loved the first two chateaus and the third one was just okay. The countryside was beautiful and the van very comfortable. Unfortunately, the lunch was a BIG RIPOFF. All at the table were shocked when we saw our supposedly "gourmet" meal of pressed chicken, one broccoli head and one section carrot. The dessert was ice cream and definitely not gourmet. For the price we paid it was very unacceptable. The head phones worked on only one chateau and then quit at the beginning of the second chateau. The descriptions on the head phones were very poor compared to the guides we overheard. The trip was rushed as we got a late start. Please refund each of us in our tour group at least $120 for the day. Viator is supposedly a very well know tour group but I really disappointed.

Celine was a wonderful tour guide (driver too). Her knowledge of the history of each Château was so helpful and Interesting. Our group of 7 was perfect size for maximizing our time at each. The fabulous meal, wine, and setting at the Château was brilliant.

Perfect day in the valley

Our guide Dimitri was on time, very well informed, very attentive, and made this a very enjoyable trip. Itinerary was perfect, skipped the lines everywhere, lunch at Castle Chenonceaux was excellent. Being at the castles was a great experience but Dimitri’s background commentary made it a great learning experience. Highly recommend this excursion.

Visiting Loire Valley castles in a short time

, Aug 2019
It is a nice trip if you don't have too much time. Our guide Nicholas was very good. The 3 castles are very interesting. It is time enough to visit. Unfortunatelly is no time to see the small towns and villages you pass through, which are really nice. But for only one day, it is a good choice. The only problem we had was when we came back in Paris, with the transfer to the hotel, but it was solved by the agency.

My daughter and I took this trip in the rain but it was SO worth it! Our driver/guide, Julian, was informative and friendly. The castles were beautiful and we had plenty of time to explore all three. Lunch was included and it was fabulous! Get out of Paris for the day and take this tour!

A marvelous selection of chateaux and historic sites as well as nice touches of local culture. Well paced and especially nice because of the small size of our group. Lovely scenery along the way made even the riding enjoyable. Ample amounts of free time to explore as we wished.
