Pick up time from 10:15am to 11am, please note the minibus needs to go to multiples hotels and in some cases take more time than the normal . We pick up clients from any hotel or vacation rentals in Panama City. BUT hotels or resort outside the city the client need to pay extra US$10 per person to cover round trip transfer.
Begin with pickup at your centrally-located Panama City hotel, then make the trip to Colón in an air-conditioned minivan or minibus. See the rainforest and then go deeper into the forest by vehicle, with plenty of stops to sight wildlife: watch for sloths, monkeys, anteaters, and other mammals in the thick trees.

Continue to San Lorenzo Fort (entrance fees not included), which guarded the Caribbean end of the Las Cruces Trail, the overland route for Spanish treasures and gold from Central and South America. Learn the story of how the fort finally fell to the pirate Henry Morgan, who used it as a base for his historic attack on Panama City.

After visiting the fort, tour the Agua Clara section of the Panama Canal extension (entrance fees not included), which was inaugurated in summer, 2016. Find out how engineers raised the waterline of Gatun Lake, built new locks, and widened existing channels to accommodate New Panamax ships. You’ll have roughly 45-minutes to explore the locks before returning to Panama City, where this tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.

We had a great time, Santiago was our tour guide and he made sure to accommodate everyone in the group. We saw quite a few Monkeys on our jungle hike and a few sloths. We were able to see a boat go through the canal, which was amazing and Fort San Lorenzo was the perfect place to stop for a picnic. We would highly recommend this tour with Santiago!

Loved this tour! Initially we were going to try and see all that was included ourselves but with transportation and everything it made more sense to do it this way. I'm so glad we did because the added information from Mario brought it all to life. His co-host also was great spotting all the animals, or else we would have missed them entirely (seriously, went to another park the next day didn't see anything except bugs).

Guide was friendly but the tour was more of a car ride for a few hours. Rent a car and drive to the places yourself, much cheaper.

Thank you for your feedback, Rent a car always will be cheaper than take a tour. The difference with a tour are you get a friendly person with a vehicle driving for you to the attractions, talking about Panama important information, and showing you wild animals difficult to find for yourself.

The tour was very nice. We were the only people registered for the tour (2 people) and they still took us. Mario is very knowledgeable and he explained much more than just about the attractions. He was warm and funny and we enjoyed our time. We saw different animals thanks to Mario and Juliet. Juliet, our driver, was also very kind and caring. We forgot an item in her car and when we contacted them the day after our trip, she looked for it, found it, and drove all the way just to drop it at our hotel! What a nice people!

We had a great trip with Mario. He was not only very knowledgeable about the rainforest, Fort of San Lorenzo, and the Panama Canal, but also gave us a lot of information about the Country of Panama, including history, geography, climate, etc. I would highly recommend this tour.

Most of the time spent driving in the van. We could have spent 1/2 hour touring around Colon since we were there already but guide wanted to rush back to Panama City. Lunch was stopping at a grocery store and buying our own lunch and eating in the van. The tour did buy 1 beer for me. The guide was knowledgeable so that was a plus and we did see some monkeys, a sloth, a racoon-like creature. Entrance to the Panama Canal zone was $20 so you need to add that to the trip.

The trip was interesting and diverse. Plan on spending $20 on admissions. While the instructions indicate to bring a towel, what is needed is a cloth or facial towel to wipe away sweat because it is hot and humid while walking through the rain forest and the fort. Bring fruit, such an apple or pear, chips or other snack to eat during the trip. There is no time for a formal sit down lunch. Water is available.

Rainforest was a funny tourist joke, not real experience; the entrance fee for the new lock was ok, bit too expensive. Fort Lorenzo was the highlight; good spirit of an impressive history Bad was that we needed to buy sandwiches in the supermarket and eat it in the car on bumpy streets

Coming from the big European winter freeze I and my partner had a lovely time on this tour. Our guide Wilson and Julia the driver/animal spotter were professionals and did their best to make the most of such a lower-end-of-the-price-range trip. After seeing the canal we spotted many wild animals, including howling monkeys AND a huge crocodile!The jungle walk and the fort were also amazing. Wilson was very considerate and warned us about the bug-dangers of the forest, and even gave us some from his own bug spray. I highly recommend this trip, it’s really good value for your money.

...forgot to say: the details of this tour said "See the rainforest from the water on a 20-minute ferry ride, then go deeper into the forest by vehicle..." but when I asked about the ferry, I was told it was a different tour. That was a bit disappointing.

Thank you for your review. Unfortunately, The ferry to go to the rainforest was replaced for a brand new Us$300,000,000 bridge since July 2019. Unfortunately no more ferry ride on this tour.

Mario and the other guide (I apologize for forgetting his name) were very informative and helpful. I thoroughly enjoyed the tour. While I liked the opportunity to shop for lunch, I would have preferred a specific stop to eat. They were able to locate a lot of wild animals in the rain forest. I got a lot of great photos. Bring bug spray and long pants and sneakers for the walk in the forest. It was a pretty good day.

This tour was not what I expected, I was messaged the day before the tour stating pickup would be between 10:30-11:00 am, I was picked up at 10:35 am which was fine. We dove in a decent mini bus to a parking lot where we transferred to a smaller van and waited about 10 mins for additional passengers. Here is where things started to go downhill, the van had a ridiculously loud whirling noise and the AC was non-existence, Panama is an extremely humid place and an almost full vehicle without AC made the trip uncomfortable, adding the noise from which vehicle and the difficulty in hearing the guide with this noise just compounded the misery, this van was not fit for this tour. We got on our way none the less made a stop for petrol another stop on the highway to wait for another passenger about 15 mins wait in a hot van and a stop at a supermarket for snacks then onto Agua Clara.We spent about an hour and half at Agua Clara locks probably the highlight of the tour we got to see 2 ships going through the lock. We departed Agua Clara and headed to Fort San Lorenzo, the advertised "rain forest tour" was actually part of the the drive to the fort where we dove very slowly along the road with many potholes with the hope of seeing some sort of wildlife, this was not my expectation of a rain forest tour. We spent about an hour San Lorenzo Fort which was okay full of history with a nice view of the Gatun lake but not just okay. After the fort it was a long drive back to Panama City. In a nutshell although the guide was very knowledgeable the unfit vehicle and the content of the tour was a bit disappointing
