We were 45 minutes late being picked up at our Motel. We were dropped off for the boat cruise but left stranded in front of the Chateau Laurier at Rideau St. & Elgin St. for nearly 2 hours after the boat cruise.. Jason our tour guide never did show up. My granddaughter is disabled & we stood there & were cold & finally gave up waiting & had to find our way back to our Motel. We spoke to Andrea from Sightseeing Tours & she told us we are getting a full refund. The couple with us Janis & Neale were from Calgary & were thoroughly disgusted with the hospitality.He was using a walker & was elderly & was also very upset. I am expecting my full refund from Visator which was paid up front on my Capital One credit card. This was the most disappointing experience I have ever had with a Tour.

Dissapointed that we missed the boat tour - not sure why there was an issue for the location pick up when this seems to be a common tour. We did take an interesting drive (in rush hour) which and visited some spots i dont think i would have seen otherwise. the tour guide did indicate we would recieve reimbursment for the missed boat tour portion but have yet to recieve it.

nice afternoon - Jason did a terrific job and was very knowledgeable about the sights and places of interest. Everything was great - traffic was bad that afternoon so Jason changed up the agenda to make it more enjoyable and less time sitting in traffic. the boat ride was great too. Jason was great, and because of the traffic delays he extended our tour by an hour. He also helped us decide what to do with the rest of our time in Ottawa - great tour!
PICK UP TIME ERROR

The tour itself was good, BUT our phones didn't work in Canada. We used the internet in the hotel to access our emails to confirm the pick up time. Unfortunately because the phones didn't work we couldn't access the emails either as the software wanted to send us a code to get into the emails! We phoned that many different phone numbers we were given and no-one would give us a pick up time over the phone, even the reception staff at the Capital Hill Hotel phoned for us and spent 3/4 hour trying to get someone to agree to speak to us on the phone and give a pick up time, but no it was like trying to break into the secret service.So we sat from 7.30am until just after 9am in the reception area when we were picked up. On the form we had it said the tour started at 9am and we would be informed of ACTUAL pick up times. We complained to the tour guide but I really do think Viator must realise that no everyone is able to access emails on holiday things go wrong and what is their problem with simply talking to someone and giving out a pick up time or putting the information on the ticket.
