This early morning hot-air balloon flight begins before sunrise when you make your own way to the Welcome Center. From here, you are transported to the launch site.

Watch as the ground crew prepares and inflates the balloon. Feel free to ask questions and/or lend a helping hand. The pilot explains the safety rules, then it’s into the gondola for lift off. 

During the flight, enjoy the breathtaking scenery over the Orlando area—from the theme parks and the orange groves to the forests and swamps of the central Florida countryside.

When it’s time to land, the pilot offers a reminder of the safety rules before a light touch down. Enjoy a glass of Champagne or mimosa as part of the oldest ballooning tradition (non-alcoholic beverages are also available).

Upon return to the Welcome Center, enjoy some light snacks and refreshments and receive a Flight of Ascension certificate from the pilot.

  • Post COVID-19 Safety Updates - We politely request that you refrain from taking this tour should you start displaying any of the symptoms associated with COVID-19, or if you are at a high risk of contracting the disease. Prior to launch, there will be a temperature check of all staff and guests. Face masks will be mandatory since social distancing is not able to be practiced in the balloon basket. You must bring your own mask. Social distancing will be practiced in vehicles and on the ground. All vehicles and balloon baskets will be sanitized prior to each trip and after the tour and deep cleaning is done in the offices.

Beyond POOR SERVICE! If VALID ISSUE OCCURS within last 24 hours, they have NO MERCY or Heart to give A Refund!

I would NEVER recommend or support Orlando Sunrise Balloon Hot-Air Balloon ride due the TERRIBLE and UGLY experience I had when I had to cancel this excursion last minute due to an injury my daughter experienced within the last 24 hours of our flight time. Our flight was Nov. 26th Thanksgiving Morning. I emailed the company via customerservice@orlandoballoonrides.com shortly after 2 am once I could get my daughter settled and after calling. Long story short, I sent a 2nd email after speaking to Roxy giving specific details of what happened within the last 24 hrs causing my daughter injury to not be able to walk or stand for a long period of time. The email was sent Thanksgiving also. Up until today Dec. 7, 2020 at 6:23pm cst I had not received any response via email, or a phone call back regarding a Refund for 3 tickets (me and my 2 children). So I called +1 (407) 894-5040 today to follow up. Spoke to Roxy and I explained that I was calling to follow up on my Refund request and I’d sent the email that she requested that was going to be forwarded to her boss/The Owner. Well, during this phone call I had the WORST customer service experience EVER!! It was HORRIBLE!! There was no “service”! 1st, Roxy said that her boss hadn’t responded so she guess that’s “a no!” I was literally shocked and asked her to repeat because I thought maybe I’d heard wrong. Then I asked for her bosses name. She hesitated then began to argue with me regarding my request for a refund! I continue to request (3 times) for The Owners name. Roxy then said Keith. I asked for his last name, which was met with silence initially, then she yelled and said, “he’s the only Keith here”!! I asked again, Roxy raised he voice saying “you can look it up!! His last name is Fear”! I will be reporting this company and the names mentioned to the BBB. Even if they are declining to give me a Refund, it doesn’t give reason for beyond poor service and treating me in such an ugly manner. She should’ve still been professional and kind, regardless!! There is no excuse for they way I was treated by Roxy, no response to my email or not getting a return phone call. My children and I were very excited about this event and still plan to get it checked of of our Living life list; but we we never book with this company!!! They deserve NO STARS, But it’s not an option!

Hi Shonetel, Unfortunately, it is clear on our Viator page that cancellations are free and guaranteed a refund up to 24 hours in advance. Additionally, since the purchase was through Viator, all refunds are at their discretion, even after we provide feedback to them. At that point, and especially in this case with little notice, we are unable to find additional passengers to fill the empty space, and still have to fly the balloon with the empty spots to ensure other passengers have the experience they've paid for. In short, we incur the cost of your flight even though you didn’t attend. In addition, Thanksgiving was a popular day and we had turned away multiple parties because we were fully booked. Although we understand emergencies happen and are willing to recommend to Viator that they refund guests in extreme circumstances when passengers provide proof of their emergency, there was none in this situation. Upon review of your conversation with our representative, we found that she behaved in accordance with our policies. In the conversation you had with our team, you clearly stated that you understood our cancellation policy, asked for an exception, and refused to provide any proof of the events you were saying occurred. As a result, our response to Viator had to be simply the facts of the situation and that no refund was recommended. If you can reach out and provide evidence of what you said has occurred, we would be happy to reconsider our recommendation to them with regard to your refund request. We had an absolute blast with Orlando Balloon Rides!! My wife has wanted to ride in a hot air balloon her whole life! This was an amazing way to check that off her bucket list!! My wife was really worried about it being too cold, but ultimately the weather wasn't a factor once we left the ground. The service was absolutely amazing and the trip was fantastic with unbeatable views! Our pilot was very informative and hilarious to boot! We will definitely be going back!!

Amazing trip will defiantly do again never been in a hot air balloon and was amazed to see it going up and down , and it wasn't that scary, good price and included travel which they picked me up on time, make sure you take a camera and money for the photo and gift shop.
