Monaco and Eze Small-Group Day Trip with Perfumery Visit from Nice

10/10. We were picked up from our hotel which was great, no need to worry about anything. We had a wonderful day trip to the Monaco and Pierre was awesome. He knows a lot of history and will answer any question that comes up in terms of history and places. He's also a great driver so you can sit and fully enjoy the trip. He speaks English fluently and is one of the best guides we met! Best wishes to Pierre from David and Asta!

Enjoyed this trip a ton. Loved that it was only 4 ppl including myself and my wife. Trip didn’t seem rushed and we loved every second. Eze was such a beautiful place especially the gardens at top of the village, the views were breathtaking.

Antoine was amazing, would recommend over and over! He deserves a raise or a promotion for sure. I want him to adopt us just so we can hang out with him every day.

We took this tour on February 1, 2020. We were a little concerned because it was winter but the tour was great. Our tour guide was Camille and she was great also. She was very knowledgeable and provided all genres of information on Eze and Monaco - origin, social issues,political issues, geography, history......While driving or when we arrived at a scheduled stop. She would drop us off at a specific location and tell us when to be back. That gave us free time to walk around and explore. We found that there was sufficient time for us to walk around Eze, Monaco (where we had time for lunch) and Monte Carlo. I definitely recommend this tour

Our guide and driver was Camile. She had a such a pleasant and kind vibe that it made our entire trip really memorable. I see a lot a trips with the same destinations in just 4 hrs, but trust me 4 hrs aren't enough to soak up all the beauty.

Great tour in Eze and Monaco with Laura. She is very knowledgeable about the history of the area. She gave us enough time on our own to explore and pointed out the highlights. I would do it again. So fun!

Martina was an amazing guide. She provided a lot of history and gave us plenty of time to explore and take pictures. It was helpful that she was fluent in English as well as French. Beautiful place to visit. Highly recommend this tour.

My tip would be look up what you want to visit before you go as the tour is basically transport with some info en route. The guide was lovely but basically did the driving and spoke a little over the microphone whilst on the road, and did not accompany the group around Eze or Monaco. Pick ups in Nice were all on time and the mini-bus was comfortable (although it did have a faulty door); there were only 7 in our group. We stopped at Eze for 35minutes to wander around the old village: wear sensible shoes – there are lots of steps and slopes and they can be slippery. You can go to the church for free, or pay to visit the gardens at the top for a view. We didn’t feel there was enough time to race to the gardens as it was busy and there were many steps. We went to the Fragonard perfume factory at Eze for a 30mins guided tour, which was interesting. There is a bit of a sales pitch at the end. 20mins on from Eze and we arrived at the old town in Monaco (you don’t need any documentation for the border). The downside was we only just arrived in time to see part of the changing of the guard which happens at 11.55am every day. We were given maps, but had to find the way ourselves to the palace and had to rush to catch the end of the changing of the guard. We had 2.5 hours in the old town; chance to look round the palace (which is a self-guided 30-45mins tour with an audio-guide, 8 Euros per person); get lunch at one of the many cafes; go shopping, go to the viewpoints for some photos and visit the cathedral and nearby gardens. It was recommended to leave 1 hr for the oceanographic museum. Drop off/pick up was at the Place de la Visitation. Then we were driven to the Casino Square in Monte Carlo via part of the Grand Prix race track and had an hour here – chance to look in the casino, see the opera house, have a drink in the café de paris (not cheap!) and window shop. Bags are searched at the entrance to the casino and café. On the way back we drove on the remainder of the race circuit including the tunnel and Rascasse. Interesting to have seen Monaco but I am glad we stayed in Nice. Doing the tour was certainly easier than trying to drive or get the train there ourselves, but we would have preferred to have had a short walking tour of the main sites and given some information.

This small group tour by Tour Azur is an absolute delight if you want to spend 1 day in Monaco / Eze. The tour guide Alexandre was an extremely passionate, polite and accommodative. We started on-time and he explained a whole lot of Nice as we went around. We stopped at 2-3 spots for pictures, and reached Eze. Alex showed us the village and gave a lot of nice details of the various spots. We went to the perfume shop and then to Monaco. He let us to ourselves with recommendations of what to do for about 3 hours. Then we headed to Monte Carlo where he explained all the interesting tit-bits along the roads. We were left at the Casino area for about 1.5 hours and then returned. Overall, the tour was great and so was our guide. Definitely recommend it. Sunay

Ricardo was very informative and nice. Loved seeing Eze, definitely don't want to miss this medieval village. Monaco was interesting and Monte Carlo was ok.
