Too expensive to not include at least a bottle of wine and everything on the menu. We ended up paying extra. Food was delicious nonetheless but portions were very small.

I went on the Bataux cruises frequently before the pandemic. I'm sad to see the quality sharply decline after COVID. The food was old (seafood tower was frozen, smelled fishy), the drinks were very diluted for the price. All of our silverware was dirty and had remnants of food on it. I was very disappointed. Won't be returning.

First and Last Trip

First time to the Big Apple and wanted to treat my Fiance to a birthday dinner cruise. After reading all of the different sections including the fine print, I felt that this would be a great way to cruise the city at night. I love that we were REQUIRED to dress up which makes the night more romantic. Upon being seating it we were greeted by our waitress who gave us detailed instructions as to how this would go and where to find certain things on the ship. We ordered our drinks which came out fast. As the ship set sails. The ambience, conversations, and scenery took our mind off that our waiter has not been back by at least an hour now. Once our first set of drinks were empty, we're were looking for our waiter to replenish our drinks and take out order. Now this is where things start to go downhill. After having to wave down another waitress to find our waitress. After another 15 to 20 minutes she shows up being truly apologetic. Took our drink and food orders and left. We set another 20 minutes before our 2nd set of drinks came out. More time went by as a few tables received their appetizers but nothing for us. Our waitress passed by us 6 more times before I was able to catch her attention to let her know we had not received any part of our meal. She again apologized and said she would check on it. At that point of the trip, we were passing the under the Brooklyn and Manhattan bridges. Right as we were singing abd snapping pictures of the close up of the statue of Liberty, our soups came out. The soup was amazingly good or we were just that hungry. Another 25 minutes passed by and the main course came out. The plate was high, my fish was over cooked, spinach mash potatoes were cold underneath the rubbery fish. My fiancé short rib was hot, carrots very fresh and crunchy, and garlic mash potatoes were cold as well. We received our check before we received our desserts. I paid our bill and as we got up to leave our dessert came out. I snapped a picture of the birthday man and the cheesecake and left. I wouldn't do the cruise again. It was a first and last impress for me. Good way to see the city lights at night. Bad when you are starving and thirsty..
