The movie at the beginning was awesome. I think Ms Nash who turned it in to what it is today should have a bronze statue out front as she did just as much or more than Ryman himself!

Loved being able to see the Mother church on our own! Just to be able tonsoak in the history and the site on our own time was great. They give you a flyer to walk your course telling you a little about all the numbered stops. You also get a picture included with your tour on the stage.

Non-Country Fans...this is your tour

After a disappointing trip to the "Country Music Hall of Fame" our visit to the Ryman was just what we had been looking for. The introductory movie is well done and gives a great history of the "Mother Church of Country Music". As neither of us are really particular to country music we found this to be very informative. The displays of costumes, photos and additional video presentations were excellent. The building itself includes the exact nostalgic feel we were hoping to experience.

Had no negative comments. It was what I had hoped for. No crowds and no distractions. A little more information about parking would have been better.

Onstage with Old Crow Medicine Show

We had such a blast there! The tickets we had did not explain that the Ryman was closing at 3 pm that day -- everything I read said 5pm. So when we showed up at 3:10 we were turned away at the door at first. But then the security guard woman started making some calls. People on the other end were telling her no but she wouldn't settle for that. She ran to the ticket office, but they had shut down. Finally she figured out a way to print us some paper tickets on her own and gave them to us and told us to enjoy. We did! The history, the music, the building itself -- all great. At the end we got to stand on the stage for a photo and we were joined onstage by the Old Crow Medicine Show because they were rehearsing for their gig that night!
