Great way to learn about Munich

Our walking tour was changed to a bicycle tour which in hindsight we should have chosen since we got to see more things. Our guide was an exeptionally good storyteller and passionate about the story of the city and knew his stuff. I would recommend doing this as one of the first things when arriving to Munich.

Sorry about the change of the tour, but as that was an upgrade, I am happy to hear that you had a great time on our Bike Tour!

One of four tours done with Radius Tours. We did this tour last week on our arrival day and the weather was kind to us that we even got sunburned. Patrick our tour guide was very engaged, knowledgeable, and made sure that we well well-informed about the things we saw and guided us well on what we could do and see in Munich on other days. All in all, a very interesting walk made even better by an excellent tour guide. I would also like to thank Daniel of Radius Tours who was extremely helpful and for making this possible. I recommend this trip to anybody.

Excellent overview tour of Old Munich. Concise. Not too much walking (there were several young children) and had the opportunity to go inside two different churches around the old town. We ended in old town, nearby the Christmas Market and food. Excellent English-speaking guide. Great and quirky stories I would’ve missed otherwise.

Quick introduction to Munich
Ralph S
, Nov 2019
Sunday, 3 Nov, was a cool, rainy, yucky day. After figuring out how to buy a metro ticket we took the metro to the central station. We had a Radius Tours “Munich Old Town Walking Tour” scheduled. It was a small group of about ten with a guide, Dan. There wasn’t any audio guide equipment, so you had to be right next to the guide to get all his orbs of wisdom. He took us from the Hauptbhf Central Station to Michaelskirche and Frauenkirche to Theatinerkirche, Preysing Palais, The Residenz, and Max Joseph Platz where there were the Residenz theatre and the National Theatre. Then we went over to Marienplatz to watch the famous Rathouse clocktower except that today it didn’t work. Then a brief digression to Hofbrἅuhaus and then another beerhall our guide favored, named Schneider Brἅuhaus. Dan was a fine guide but without the audio equipment you couldn’t hear him. Afterward, Sandy and I went back to Schneider Brἅuhaus and spent the next ninety minutes or so talking with two locals, both named Michael. It was a prolonged Rick Steves experience.

Whirlwind Munich

Found myself laid over in Munich for a day. Signed up for this tour last minute. Lana was our Bavarian guide. She covered the highlights of the city, much of the history, and had recommendations for more in-depth places to visit if you had additional time. This was a great overview. Lana was also very helpful to several of us in the group with public transport. Great job!!
