The hop on hop off bus tour is an excellent way to get an overview of Monaco and Monte Carlo in one day. It stops at all the points of interest and offers a guided tour of both cities.

Great easy way to see the length on Monaco. Audio was really informative. Really good way to start your first day and get to know where everything is. Check for anything going on in the main town though,. We booked a 2 day pass, but on Sunday there was a running race in the centre so all the roads were shut, and no bus ran.

Less than satisfactory.

Our 1st driver had us get off the bus at the wrong stop, forcing us to walk much further than necessary to reach our intended destination. After we visited the old city we waited and waited in the rain for a bus and when it finally came and picked us up it went as far as stop 11, instead of 4 where we started. Then we told to get off because that was as far as the bus was going. Stop 11 just happened to be the furthest stop possible from our hotel!

A must for a hilly trip!

Easy to book and voucher needed to pick the bus up. There is a stop directly in front of the station exit. I had done the tour of Monaco last year so was familiar with what it covered, but the commentary was not working which was disappointing for my fellow travellers.

HOHO in October from Oceania Cruise

, Nov 2019
The first day of our Oceania cruise could not have been better than the Monica HOHO tour. Stop is VERY close to where the tender dropped us off. We purchased tickets in advance, but one can also buy them on the bus. The small ticket booth does NOT sell HOHO tickets; that is for taxis and other tours. We had great weather, so we enjoyed riding the entire circuit before deciding where we wanted to get off during the second pass. We got on the bus early and had no problem getting on the first one we saw. However, it got much more crowded later in the day. Fabulous views everywhere. The recording played during the tour could be better, and we had some static in the connection. They provide disposable earphones, but you may want to take your own. At the palace stop, check out the side streets and savor some gelato. Well worth the money, especially for first-time visitors to Monaco.

We enjoyed this easy way to see Mónaco. I gave 4/5 because we had trouble hearing the info through headsets and missed some of it.
