This Moab whitewater rafting tour begins in the middle of town, when you meet your professional whitewater guides at the central Moab office. From here, you’ll receive an intro and safety briefing and get loaded up in the van, which will shuttle you out to the Fishers Tower section of the Colorado River. With its soaring spires, vertical canyons and deeply red-hued rocks, this section of river feels like blissfully remote, despite being so close to town.

Before boarding the raft for the splash-filled journey, get fitted with a lifejacket and listen as your guide explains the course of the river. Your guide will propel the raft by oars, so you can sit back and enjoy the scenic, sometimes bumpy, cruise. The rapids on this section are Class II-III and are the largest in early summer snow melts. If you choose to paddle an inflatable kayak instead of riding in the raft, your guide will provide a paddling lesson and make sure you can follow commands.

As you make your way down the Colorado River, keep your eyes peeled for birds and wildlife that can often be seen on the banks, and listen as your guide explains the history and geology of the rocky canyons. At the end of the journey, after splashing down the river or going for a swim, your trip ends with a short ride back to downtown Moab.

Beautiful but boring
, Jun 2021
The drive following the Colorado River was very beautiful. The river itself had 3 major rapids which were fun. The BIG negative is the guide is the only rower-we we’re just sight-seers. Good for less active folk; boring for more active groups.
Great for families

Nice blend of rapids and floating. We enjoyed the opportunity to swim alongside the raft for awhile. Our guide was the best! She was knowledgeable and let our kids try our rowing for a bit.
Very enjoyable experience

We had a great time. We did the noon half-day. Lunch was good, and the staff was friendly and professional. Tiana (our guide) and Abby (guide in training) were terrific. It was mostly floating, but we did hit a few mild rapids, and one short but intense one. The scenery is magnificent! Overall an awesome experience. If you choose this trip be sure to read the description, as I heard someone stating disappointment that they weren’t rowing. It says in the description that the guide does the rowing.
Beautiful Views!

Don’t go on this ride for the thrills. Luckily, that is not what we were after! Gorgeous views of the mesas, nice brisk water on a hot day, and friendly, knowledgeable guides. A great, affordable time for the whole family.

Katie was a great guide. She was knowledgeable about river and surroundings. Beautiful and relaxing.. just a few mild rapids
Relaxing and Beautiful

This was a relaxing, scenic river trip! Our guide was informative and entertaining! I will probably reserve a level 3 or 4 in the future, but I highly recommend this trip to those that prefer to chill.
Inaccurate description on website

Not what was expected. We were group of 7 people booked for rafting. They did not mention about shared rafts anywhere on the website. We had to share raft with another group ( total 10 people in common) Also only the instructur would be rafting while we just need to sit and enjoy. No hands on rafting by self which is again no expected or mentioned anywhere on the website. I have done rafting at Moab in past, and we had private raft as well as all the members participated in rafting, which was not the case here
Great rafting experience!

We had the best day rafting down the Colorado river! We were lucky and got Kit as our raft guide. He made the day so enjoyable. Couldn’t have asked for a better or more knowledgeable guide during our trip. Recommend riding with him to anybody!
Great views on a slow ride.

A bit on the boring side for the kids wanting more action. Also a long wait (about an hour) for the pickup after the rafting trip. Scenery was great though.
