Quite the experience
, Mar 2020
We were very glad to be accepted for this tour after a problem with a previous tour booking. The 'Road to Hana' had many stunning views and the commentary from our driver/guide was both educational and entertaining. The returning drive on the lower road was also scenic and interesting - but the road itself was so rough that we suffered from a bit of whiplash!
Maui full circle road to hana
, Oct 2019
The road and scenery is beautiful. The tour guide was a little on the crazy, wild side and luckily the group we had was very laid back and easy going. Some of the things the tour guide said and did could of been perceived offensive and inappropriate. I appreciated the extra things (picking fruit, stories, explaining the history of the road, longer time at certain stops, picking flowers for the ladies) he did for our group and the personal stories of the island. I have to say the customer service rep who took my call, called me back, found my lost shoes (I left in the van) and went and picked them up and drove them to airport for me- WOW- she went WAY ABOVE and BEYOND. She was working the afternoon of Sept. 21st- she impressed me with her customer service and by how much she cared.

I am sorry, did you said " the extra things and WAY ABOVE and BEYOND" and we deserved three stars only?
Epic Trip with Rodney!
, Sep 2019
Awesome trip. Rodney gave 150% to make sure everyone was entertained and intellectually stimulated. Trip was more fun than we expected. Rodney showed us his island in a way that showcased all of Maui's nuances. Fruit, flowers, music, waterfalls, desert, mongoose, wild goat, surf, jungle, coffee, and cocoa only cover part of the experience.
Twelve hour roller coaster ride.

The driver was very knowledgable but spent more time bragging about himself and flirting with a passenger who was 30 years younger than he was them giving us information about the island. The ride was wild and way too fast to be considered safe. He would speed and take corners way too fast and laugh the whole time he did it. He made comments about his fellow driver that she was the slowest on the mountain. He was showing off for young girl. Tour guide cussed (including the F word) and made jokes that were sexual in nature. The food was good but my wife could not enjoy it as she was throwing up from car sickness from the recklessness of the driver. When asked who would take this tour again tomorrow, not one passenger said they would. I don’t believe any of us would endanger ourselves again. It was so bad that my wife was furious at me for tipping him.

Just completed this tour not even a week ago and my family and I can't stop raving about it! We started the tour off by getting picked up in our resort (which was a huge plus). We had K as our tour guide, he was hilarious, smart, knowlegable, and all around a great guy he kept us laughing the whole tour. The tour has many twists and turns that can be quite scary at times, I am glad we decided to book a tour instead of driving the road to Hana ourselves. K did many stops and told us about the history of Maui and its plants and culture. We got to swim in black sand beach, which was beautiful. We got to see some pretty big sea turtles which was a nice surprise. Lunch was also one of the best ever, instead of the usual sandwhich K took us to eat huli huli chicken (it was delicious!) he also hooked it up for my sister with some warm fresh made pizza since shes a vegetarian. All in all I give this tour 10 golden stars! Also, we now know how to pick a nice and sweet pineapple, although I am now hooked on the Maui gold! Mahalo!

Beautiful Locations but Room for Improvement
, Jun 2019
My wife and I were excited about our Road to Hana tour and had a decent overall experience but there are ways it could have been improved. Unfortunately, the tour did not stop at all of the locations listed on the tour description. Some of these were not the tour guide's fault due to traffic and road access but others were simply passed over due to time which was disappointing. Lunch could have been better coordinated but again it was not the tour guide's fault. The Road to Hana is a long day so it can be exhausting being in a van all day for 10 to 12 hours. As long as you are prepared for that, you'll be fine as the sites are beautiful when you stop at various locations. I would recommend that you try and ensure that all locations will be visited before booking. The Road to Hana is a must see if you are visiting Maui and love nature and the outdoors but don't want to drive the challenging roads!
Great tour

Our driver Tom was awesome!! He kept everyone very engaged and also kept the tour on track. I would definitely recommend this to anyone that does not want to drive the road themselves. Also he has some great snacks.
