Your full-day electric bike tour departs in the morning from Vieux Port (Old Port). Before taking off, your local guide will offer a safety introduction to the intuitive and easy electric bike. Fit with pedals and a small motor to propel you forward, this modern ride allows you to see more of Marseille and the surrounding region in less time.

First, head south out of Marseille along Corniche Kennedy, catching scenic views of the village of Vallon des Auffes, Prado Beach and Madrague Montredon. You’ll disembark in the quaint town of Les Goudes for some independent exploring. Wander the secluded village and watch fishing boats drift through the cove. Enjoy a lunch (payable directly to restaurant; see sample menu below) or grab some food of your own.

Hop back on your bike and wind farther south through the wild and dramatic Calanques region. Admire the distinctive limestone rock formations – called the ‘fjords of the French Riviera’ – that wrap around pools of crystal-clear water to make dramatic inlets. Stop at La Plage de la Maronaise (Maronnaise Beach) for an invigorating swim, before heading on to the stunning Calanque de Callelonque (Callelongue Cove). Here, watch small boats drift in and out of the cove and locals lounge on the beach.

To end, you’ll return to Marseille to explore some of city highlights including green spaces like Parc Borély or Campagne Pastré – two lovely public parks – and the magnificent Basilique Notre Dame de la Garde, a Neo-Byzantine Catholic church perched atop Marseille’s highest peak. Enjoy panoramic views of the Marseille’s labyrinthine streets below, the sparkling Mediterranean Sea and the bustling Old Port.

Follow your guide back down the hill to the starting point, where your tour ends by late-afternoon.

Great way to see Marseille and get to the Calanques
, Sep 2021
The electric bikes are a fun and easy way to get around. You have a great view of the neighbourhoods. The tour stops in intriguing and beautiful places, some of them off the beaten path. Cindy, our guide, was knowelegable and helpful. She seemed to really love Marseille.

Great day at Calanques

The guida, Yam, was really nice with us. He explained everything and took us to great places. Loved the Calanques!! The bike trip was really great!
Great experience!

My partner and I visited Marseille for the first time and booking this tour is a great way to explore the city. Our tour guide was helpful, friendly and took us along a breathtaking route by the sea to reach the Calanques. It was our first time using e-bikes and we both enjoyed it (they're super easy to ride and are a real treat, especially when cycling uphill). We recommend!
Perfect Day!

Excellent day in Marseille

Great ebike trip around Marseille! Easy to find the meetup spot and learn the ebike features then off we went to a lot of cool spots. We had the option of a restaurant or sandwiches for lunch, the sandwich was great and gave us more time at the beach spot which was nice. Saw everything we wanted to. Will be recommending it to others that visit the area. There is some riding bikes on streets and close to cars, but it’s not very stressful and pretty easy to follow the guide. Drivers are nicer to bikers here than NYC at least.
Stunning coastline view

One of the most amazing Viator tours ever! This tour will make you see the best side of Marseille. We loved every single part. Cindy was great...she took us to parts of Marseille known only to locals. We had a great seafood lunch that really highlighted Marseille.

Waw, thanks for your great feedback. Cindy will be happy to read your message.
Good value for money

Good balance of the day: very long trip (from 9.30 am to 5pm - which is positive) including pauses and even time on the beach, within Marseille (roads you would never take should you do it on your own) as outside the city (beach, "calanque"). Only thing to improve: the lunch we had requested was fully booked and it has taken time to find an alternative.

Thanks for you feedback. I agree we made a little mistake and tried to book the restaurant as you request too late to get a place.
A great and fun way to see Marseille!

Our family of four had a wonderful day with Manu riding electric bikes around Marseille and to the Calanques. Our five year old rode in a trailer and our seven year old had his own new electric bike. It was a perfect way to see and cover so much of the city. Manu recommended a fantastic three star Michelin food truck for lunch. The sandwiches were delicious! We even stopped at a playground, got ice cream and visited a local chocolate shop. Manu was very friendly and flexible and we could not have asked for anything more. It was a wonderful experience and would highly recommend this tour!

What a trip, the e-bikes are easy to ride and the ground you cover to the calanques - 30km - is amazing. The views! The sights! The water - soooo cold, but a once in a lifetime experience. Lunch was delicious. The stop off at the Notre Dame on the way back was tough getting up the steep hill, made much easier with the e-bike, but the view once up there was breathtaking. I highly recommend this tour to anyone, just brilliant.

The prefect end to a vacation in France

Anthony was a great guide. He told interesting stories of Marseille’ history. He managed the tour’s pace to assure the cruise guest’s need to get to their ship with the speed the group could maintain.
