Why Travelers Choose This Tour
This flexible West Rim coach tour offers optional activities to enhance your experience.
This sightseeing tour to the West Rim of the Grand Canyon begins with a hotel pickup in Las Vegas. Hop aboard a comfortable, air-conditioned motor coach equipped with restrooms, reclining seats, video monitors and large windows. Then make the trek east, passing through Joshua Tree forests and the Mojave Desert, and past the famous Hoover Dam and beautiful Lake Mead to the Grand Canyon.
Upon arrival at the Grand Canyon, enjoy hours of self-guided exploring at the West Rim. Hike to the Eagle Point and Guano Point overlooks to take in the amazing views. Visit the Hualapai Ranch for a wild west show and enjoy a delicious hot lunch available from a variety of different outlets (included in tour price). There are many options and a variety of exciting possibilities.
There are also two upgrades to consider during this time frame. First, consider adding a thrilling walk on the Grand Canyon Skywalk, a glass walkway nearly 4,000 feet above the floor of the canyon. Secondly, there's a stunning helicopter/boat ride. Lift off high above the canyon in a helicopter, then swoop down between its walls and land on the canyon floor. Walk around, get an up-close look at the many layers of the interior of the canyon and gain an even greater appreciation of the immensity of this natural wonder. Additionally, enjoy a pontoon boat ride along the Colorado River, looking up at the canyon’s many beautiful colors and stunning rock formations.
Las Vegas Strip
After hotel pick-up, you'll have a brief check-in at the terminal where there is a full-service cafe available with breakfast items for purchase. Travel time between Las Vegas and the Grand Canyon is around three hours each way. Your driver will provide an expert commentary along the way. Motor coaches are climate controlled and equipped with restrooms, reclining seats, video monitors and over-sized windows.
Once at the West Rim you will have 4 hours of unguided time at the Grand Canyon. It's up to you to spend as little or as long as you wish at each of the following attractions.
** Helicopter - Boat Combo Upgrade **:
Why not complete your Grand Canyon experience with a thrilling helicopter flight to the floor of the Grand Canyon. You will be flown 4,000 feet to the base of the Canyon where you will board a pontoon boat for an approximate 15-minute ride on the Colorado River. Enjoy the Grand Canyon Skywalk (if option selected) and the panoramic view.
The spectacular Grand Canyon Skywalk (if option selected) is where you can take a walk over the edge of the canyon on a glass bridge. Next to the Skywalk is the Indian Village where you can explore Native American history and culture with replica dwellings and performances of traditional dances.
The pick up and drop were on time . They gave great advice on what to spend time on and what not to spend your time on. If you can the helicopter ride was a great experience to add to the trip the skywalk was nice but helicopter better made my whole trip. if you can swing land down in the Canyon what an amazing thing to experience so well worth it. Had a awesome time well worth it.
Our tour guide Eileen, was really good. She enhanced our experience & was very informative from the time she picked us up until the drop off. She was really passionate about what she does & that made our visit even more better.
There were a lot of inclusions that were changed after I booked this activity. 1-The coach bus we rode on didn’t have a bathroom, so we had to stop along the way for bathroom breaks. 2-Our lunch was not a “hot meal” as Viator advertised at my time or reserving this activity (back in May). 3-The Western show that was advertised was not available on my activity date (June 26). I think overall the guide and the experience was great, but Viator can do a better job with updating details about activities.
