This activity will end right where it started.Customer needs to provide their accommodation address in order to perfom hotel pickup. In case of lack of this information customer will be awaited at our meeting point at Straszewskiego 14 Street. Some of the hotels located in Kraków Old Town are in traffic restricted area and no direct pickup is available. In that case we provide a pickup from closest possbile pickup point. Due to Covid 19, Auschwitz Museum reserves the right to change the visiting time, therefore the pickup time is approximate and may change.

  • VISITING PACE: Please note that there are hundreds of people visiting the Auschwitz Museum every day and keeping your own pace of sightseeing is not possible.
  • DEPARTURE TIME: The starting times are tentative and may change, and departures from Krakow may take place. You are required to contact Gr8way at least 2 days before the activity starts to confirm your exact pick-up time from your accommodation.
  • LUGGAGE SIZE: Each traveller is allowed a maximum size of any baggage allowed in The Auschwitz Birkenau Museum is 30x20x10 cm. This is more or less the size of an A4 sheet. It's okay to have a small handbag or wallet with you. If your luggage is bigger, you can leave it in the locked bus parked next to the museum. Our driver will look after your luggage while you are away.
  • WEATHER: We operates in all weather conditions, during this tour, you will spend up to 70% of the time outdoors, especially during the second part at Birkenau Memorial Place. Please bring weather appropriate clothing.

  • ID DOCUMENTS: Every visitor has to bring ID to verify. Otherwise the security might refuse enter the Musuem

  • Valid student ID allows you to get a youth discount.

Visiting Auschwitz-Birkenau is haunting. Every person In the world who is able should visit. The guide, Krzysztof was excellent. His knowledge of history is outstanding. He was respectful, helpful and friendly. You can visit on your own but having a tour guide like Krzysztof enhanced the experience. Tour is definitely worth it.

This trip was very well organised. Our pick up by James was on time, in a very smart clean people carrier. James was very polite and friendly and knowledgable, he gave us a bit of a guided tour at the start of the journey. Our tour guide for both sites, was amazing, very passionate and knowledgable. It was very sobering and something which must never be allowed to happen again! I would certainly recommend these guys any day of the week!!

Do not book this tour with Viator or GR8WAY tours. They will not call you for a pick up time. When they finally pick up the phone they will lie to you about pick up time. They messed up our plans for a day. Viator was no help to recoup money lost.

Unfortunately, Auschwitz and Birkenau are so sanitized that I didn't get the experience I was looking for. On the bus ride, they payed a movie that portayed the Poles as the victims, as opposed to the Jews, who they didn't consider Poles, versus the eager participants that they were with the Nazis. Our tour guide at the camps was terrific, however I was disappointed that there wasn't more emphasis on the horrific crimes committed there. It really needs to be "in your face" so people are reminded constantly of what happened and the need to prevent it from repeating.

The tour around Auschwits was very good with a knowledgeable and informative guide. What ruined the trip was the transport to and from the venue. The minibus was half an hour late from a pick up point with no seats or shade. The minibus was crammed and uncomfortable with the seats to close together with no legroom. On the way there we were sat in the back row. There was not enough room for us both to lean back at the same time. I assume because we were late was the reason the driver was going way to fast, overtaking and slamming the brakes on at the last minute. An uncomfortable and slightly scary experience.

Fantastic tour. Pick up from hotel was on time and organiser kept communicating closer to day. Our tour guide was knowledgable. A fantastic tour. Not much of a break between both sides and not many options at shops there, so bring along food. Lots of walking at site 2 so comfortable walking shoes and umbrella if it rains or coats. Highly recommend this tour.

Let’s start with the negative stuff: 1) Tour company (gr8way) confirmed the day before that our slot would be 3 hours later than booked. This was due to Auschwitz confirmation of time slots, and not the tour operator but inconvenient none the less. 2) I’d booked ‘private car’ transport for 6 which turned out to be a mini bus with 22 people on it. This caused stress to 2 of my guests & had I known, I would have booked differently. The driver was good so not his fault, but this needs to be made clearer in the booking process. note: I also used gr8way for our airport transfer which was excellent so not an overall reflection of them, just things that could be improved. 3) the entrance to the tour is very chaotic with crowded bottle necks of people getting through the entrance. It’s ok once you’re through but this bit is poorly organised. The positives: Szymon, our tour guide was amazing. Super knowledgeable & passionate about sharing & explaining to the group. Auschwitz is very emotional, but feels like a must do if your in Krakow. Learning more details about the history and seeing/feeling first hand is so important for future generations. Never forget.

Great pick up service at the appartment. Bus very cramped and inconsiderate when driver slammed back door shut without warning as we were on the back seat. Please take photo ID with you. Not mentioned in booking but required at Auschwitz. Fantastic guide and very informative.
