Scuba divers and snorkelers aren’t the only ones who get to see the beautiful Florida Reef in all its splendor. Thanks to this glass-bottom catamaran, there’s a very clear 'window to the reef' for guests on this cruise.

Just a few miles seaward of the Florida Keys is North America's only living coral barrier reef and the third-largest coral barrier reef system in the world. It’s also one of the most biologically diverse marine eco-systems. Travel directly over the top of it and see more than 600 species of tropical fish, sharks, lobsters, crabs, sea turtles, sea rays, snails, jellyfish and other sea life, including elkhorn and brain coral.

The boat, which is designed to allow the best viewing with the least amount of stress to the reef, offers a seated sun deck with a panoramic view of the water, as well as an enclosed, air-conditioned cabin with restrooms and a snack bar.

Upgrade to the sunset cruise to watch the sun settle into the Gulf of Mexico while enjoying a glass of Champagne or a soft drink.

15 minutes in the ride i asked the lady attendant when we would start to see things through the glass, she said, I DON'T KNOW ! then i looked at the clock and said we sailed at 12 so at About 12:30 ? She said i dont know again, and said it depends on the current. So she does the trip every day but hasn't got it down to tell people that the captain will call you to come to the glass area to start peeking down the glass. IT WAS THAT SIMPLE LADY .

This boat ride was amazing! Very informative and we had great views! We got to hear about a lot of the wildlife around Key West. We did not get to go to the reef because of water conditions, but I like that they had a back up option in place that was just as nice! Sunset was gorgeous!!!

Lost binky to the Great Ocean
Ariel_B
, Sep 2020
We went on the glass bottom boat during high tide and in September. Due to high tide visibility wasn't the greatest. But thats the bet you make when you book an excursion like this. With that said. We still had an amazing time. We loved the crew and even though we could not see the reefs very well we loved watching the sunset and being out on the water. I have a 21 month old and it was perfect for us with him being so little. Although he lost his binky to the great ocean when he fell asleep, I believe he enjoyed his time on the boat as well. If you want an amazing sunset trip I recommend this!
