Calling all outdoor adventurers, this hiking tour takes you deep into Maligne Canyon, one of the deepest river canyons in the Canadian Rockies. On a mostly downhill route, encounter frozen waterfalls, ice caves, and discover the mystery of the disappearing Medicine Lake. All necessary equipment and hotel pickup in Jasper are included on this small-group tour, limited to 12 people.

Your adventure begins with pickup from your Jasper hotel in the morning or afternoon (depending on option selected), where you board a minibus destined for Jasper National Park.
Following a short drive, don warm hiking boots and begin the downhill route into the heart of Maligne Canyon. While your guide provides naturalist commentary, encounter ice caves, rock formations, and frozen waterfalls, and discover the mystery of the disappearing Maligne Valley.

Itinerary
Join your friendly guide to and participate in this one of a kind expereince. The Maligne Canyon Ice Walk Tour covers approximately 3.5 kms (2.1 miles) of mostly downhill terrain where you will explore incredible ice caves, frozen waterfalls, and ice formations. Participants are required to dress appropriately for the weather. Transportation is included and pick-ups are available from all Jasper accommodations. Please indicate your shoe size when booking as warm boots and ice cleats will be provided.
