Hilton Head to Daufuskie Island Round-Trip Ferry with 4-Person Golf Cart Rental

The boat ride was fine, riding around in the golf cart on the island was okay. But most of the island is just a ghost town. The things advertised to see are mostly non existent. The lady who was at the glass house was rude. Service at the crab restaurant (can't remember the name) was no good. Just not worth wasting a half day and 265 bucks a n this excursion. Sorry..

Boat ride was the BEST part of the entire trip. Golf cart was pitiful! Bald tires, would not travel faster than 5 mph, everyone else passing us, and limited what we could see of the island because of time.

There are multiple groups that run this “tour” - I picked the wrong one. The boat ride over was ok for us because we’re used to boats but for older people or young kids or anyone with a tad of fear or anxiety I could see how the ride could be a problem. When I booked it said “ferry”. This boat was like someone’s personal boat with no cover. It was a very rough ride. I guess the guy was friendly idk he only said about 10 words to us. Then you get to the island and it’s rustic but not really in a good way. The map they hand you is obviously free from some other place because the start here spot is on the opposite end of the island. The guy literally walks you to the golf carts and leaves. No instructions, advice, nothing. The kid (maybe 14) who was working the golf carts then tells us almost everything to see on the map is closed. So basically there is nothing to really see or do except a restaurant that I can’t believe passes any kind of inspection. The container the ketchup was in had maybe 60 bugs in it....and you’re stuck there until your pick up time. No one in the restaurant wears a mask 😷- no one associated with the tour wears masks. Really disappointed.

Had a wonderful time carting around the island. The Scrap Iron bar was great too. Food was wonderful and so was their signature drink the scrap iron.

Bruce was an excellent captain and provided us with a lot of information to make our island tour fun and informative. Wonderful day trip!!!

Couldn’t be happier! This trip was well worth the time and money! Ty was our captain; super fun and laid back with lots of local knowledge. Definitely recommend to everyone.
