I’ve had better. Listen to a recording by Rick Steve and do it solo. Don’t pay for this

The walking tour was subpar. I have had way better experiences with this company. One thing I really didn’t like was when we stopped in front of a vendor with local street food called Lampredotto. The tour guide lead with a disgusted kind of put off intro into the food right in front of the vendor. The other tourist followed. I get bad for the vendor as people made faces at his food, and personally In my culture we eat this type of food so I also felt insulted. I think that put me off in the tour a lot. You are better off listening to a recording of a walking tour with Rick Steves. He gives more details in regards to the art and culture. Don’t waste your money.

Thumbs up for Annette!

Michelangelo's "David" was the highlight. Annette's filling in the background information about the sculptor and his era definitely enhanced the experience. Her anecdotes, knowledge, and sense of humour brought each place we visited to life.

Good Choice for a Morning Walk

Costanza, our guide, truly loves her city of Florence, and was able to give us great history and stories. The walk was very comfortable, not a race, and that was appreciated. I would only have liked a few more entries into the sights, such as the Basilica or another museum, to make it a three hour tour instead of two. But Costanza gets 5 stars!

Great introduction to Florence

Great introduction to Florence. Knowledge guide. The only misleading thing was “Skip the Line” part. The guide went and bought the tickets for a certain time, and then we stood in line until our assigned time arrived. However, our guide took us exactly where we needed to be. We did the Uffizi Gallery on our own and booked our tickets for an assigned time online. We wound up going in circles.

Fabulous informative guide

Mel, our tour guide, was amazing. She was very well informed and full of entertaining information including the myths and historical background of Florence. You walk for about 2 hours and she gives you info and also I do about the best sights to go back to and spend more time at. At the end she explained what there was to see in the Museum where Statue of David is then gives you the skip the line tickets and you go on your own for the museum. Very reasonable price as well.

Buyer beware!

the departure point for this tour was inaccurately listed as Piazza San Marco and as a result my wife and I missed the tour - the tour operator claims it was Viator's mistake not theirs. In any event I would be careful using this tour company because they refused to take responsibility for the inaccurate departure point and took my money and refused to issue me a credit.

Great telling of the history of Florence from the point of view of a local. Much of the time is spent on the Medici family, as it should be, and the role of the church. Chris, our guide, has a passion for art as well.
