Must do day trip from Florence
Iain_P
, Aug 2022
We really enjoyed this day trip from Florence. The itinerary is well planned, with just the right amount of time at each stop (all of which are beautiful and definitely worth a visit). The guide was helpful, informative, and fun. The winery lunch was basic but tasty and the host made it entertaining. There was plenty of very good wine, although unfortunately no Vin Santo. The only reason I’m not rating this 5 stars is that it was let down by the optional walking tour in Siena which we joined. The local guide seemed in a hurry and rushed us from landmark to landmark, giving the briefest explanations and never inviting questions. We’d have been better off exploring on our own.

San Gimingnano.. but given very less time. Monteriggioni was a waste of time. Sienna should be given more time. San Gimingnano and Sienna alongwith wine tasting and lunch should be covered in one day's package. A souvenir from viator or the wine factory would have been a customer delight

Loved it. On time. Big AC Bus. Comfortable sitting. Free time to enjoy different cities and the big Plus that we had Leonardo the driver and Tabata the Tour guide. Both were amazing. Explaining the the cities in English and other languages too. Highly recommend to see the beauty Tuscany

I enjoyed the places we visited but I have to say the lunch at the winery was the best part. It was a very hot day and it was nice to sit in a cool place and enjoy the 4 wines we tasted during lunch.

Monteriggioni was terrible place to visit. Unfriendly restaurants personnel. Not much to see. This is a cheap tour, so the bus dropped us off far from the towns visited. The hike town almost as long as the tour walk.

San Gimignano was a beautiful town to start the tour, the views are stunning. Monteriggioni was a quick visit but as it is a small town you can cover it fairly quickly. The wine tasting and lunch was absolutely delicious. Great examples of Chianti wines! Siena was very pretty but it is a bit of a hike to get around the city. Overall a great day trip to see three towns and a great lunch.

Convenient trip out of Florence.
MaElenita_M
, Jul 2022
The tour is very prompt and punctual, delivered exactly what they indicated - a convenient way to visit beautiful towns with experts. Marta, our guide was very knowledgeable and full of energy and very helpful, as well as our bus driver Alessandro. Despite the heat, it was such a great experience to see the cities, but we would’ve liked more wine during the tasting - it felt more like an upsell part of the tour only.

Great tour and towns

Great tour. Enough time in each city although Sienna was only about 30-45 min free after the walking tour and cathedral if you buy that and would have maybe like more but after a 10 Hour day it was probably enough :-). Martha was a great guide. My only negative is the busses for this company do not have chargers like other companies Viator does use. If your plane stays off roaming I guess it’s ok but if you want reception at the sites be prepared with a back up charger.

Very good trip. Nice lunch and funny hoster. It would be more interesting if the wine tasting place can be arranged at a scenery vineyard.

Great tour of Tuscany
Andrew_F
, Jul 2022
This is a great tour out of Florence of the medieval towns in Tuscany. It is a welcome retreat from urban tourism, a good lunch at a winery, and lots of sightseeing in Tuscany. Some of the timing was a little off - We got to San Gimignano and the cathedral and tower didn't open for a while. So we could do one or the other but not both in the timing available. It would be good for the tour company to warn people in advance about this. Also, the tour was led by a very good tour leader, but not a tour guide, so once we got to the towns we were on our own. This worked out well, it just wasn't clear that's what to expect. We did book the tour of the cathedral in Siena and I was very glad about that. Given the short period of time in each place a little more direction, or maps, or something to help you find the main attractions would be helpful. Having leveled that criticism, it was a fantastic tour. I only had one day to plan time in Tuscany and this was the ticket.

Perfect Full Day Tuscan Tour
Kurt_L
, Jun 2022
A last minute booking to see the Tuscan countryside, and it did not disappoint. Perfect time in each location to visit. A lot of freedom to choose to participate in walking tour in Sienna or go on your own. Very happy to do the guided Sienna tour to learn all about the city. Very happy we did this and had a great wine tasting and lunch experience. The only thing that would make this better would be to go to a better known winery, However it was great tour and would highly recommend.
