Fabulous day with Constanza

My husband and I had a wonderful day touring the city with Costanza Barlondi. She was extremely knowledgeable, patient, interesting, and seemed to know the answer to all of our questions, regardless of the topic! Because our group was small, it felt very personalized and we could take our time and learn about each of the sites we were visiting. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone looking to hit all of the "must sees" in Florence.

We had Francesca as our guide, she may be small in stature but was very knowledgeable in Florentine history and local cuisine. The tour at the Accademia was great, we were shown a few interesting pieces before seeing the David. We then made our way to the Duomo where a brief history lesson was given on the construction of the baptistry, tower and cathedral. Next up was the famous pig market, followed by the Vecchio palace before ending on ponte Vecchio. After the lunch break, we visited the Uffizi gallery for the afternoon. We were shown many great pieces before the tour ended at 4pm. As the Uffizi is so big, we were free to see the rest of the gallery at our own leisure after the tour ended. A wonderful day overall

In the morning we met our guide Chiara for a tour of the Accademia and walking tour past the Duomo. through the streets of Florence and ending at the Ponte Vecchio. Chiara's guidance through the Accademia was very well done. Her thoughtful and thorough explanations of the exhibits greatly enhanced an experience that otherwise would have missed too much. The David is stunning and Chiara's interpretive explanations were illuminating. The rest of the morning tour occurred with the same high level of professionalism and discovery of Florence. In the afternoon our guide Valentina led us through the Uffizi Gallery. Although we were there for quite a while, there is so much to see that doing this without a guide would be a mistake. Valentina selected particular artists to focus on and led us through the gallery. Without her it would have been overwhelming and we could not have seen and learned so much. Her delivery led us from the gothic period through the renaissance through the window of art by masters such as Leonardo, Michelangelo, Raphael, and Caravaggio. We very much recommend the full day tour.
