Our Knowledgeable Guide Eloquently Reciting Historical facts in front of the Old Slave Mart now Museum in (Badly need of repair) in otherwise Gorgeous Charleston South Carolina Historic Downtown Area. Prof. Fordham was very knowledgeable about the history he presented, and his openness to questions and his in depth and informative responses were very appreciated. I'd recommend the tour to anyone who wants to hear and experience a 'fuller' and well rounded presentation of the history of Charleston.

The most memorable part of the tour was how well addressed our tour guide was. Very few questions had to be asked. He made it extremely entertaining & interesting. I felt as if I was back in school absorbing as much of historic history as I could. 💜🤗

Black History Tour

The guide was an educator and historian who knew a lot of facts about each story. I would like the guide to incorporate some of the more well know black History that we "whites" probably don't know regarding slavery, their independence and some current facts. This is just my opinion. It doesn't take away from this worthwhile tour.

Very informative! There were many locations visited that were thoroughly explained that impacted Charleston and surrounding areas. I can't say enough about our tour guide, Damon Fordham. He's not only very informed, but he's a published author, public speaker, and educator on the topic as well. Well worth it!

Excellent, entertaining and profoundly well documented tour about an, unfortunately, not well known side of the African American civil rights struggles and victories. Highly Recommended!
