Bendita Beach Day Trip from Cartagena Including Traditional Colombian Lunch

The beach itself is great- plenty of chairs, shade, beautiful water, easy to get a drink. The process of getting there, however, was a challenge. Though the tour operator was responsive when messaged, we had no direction on the actual day and no one, I mean no one, spoke English. For ex, when you arrive at the port, you have to pay an entrance fee. We did not know this. You then have to go stand in a 30-60 minute line to sign in at a table. And the tables are all for different beaches and you don't know which one is Bendita. People were buying packages/ tickets when they got up to the table, for probably much less. Then you are taken in groups of 40ish people to a speed boat. This boat is not for the weak stomached. Since we do not speak Spanish, we had no idea how long it was going to take to get to the island, what time lunch was, when to get back to the boat, or why we took another route home (it was because the sea was too rough). All of that said, again, the beach is nice and lunch was good and of course, we made do by just following the crowds when it was time to go!

Hotel pickup was right on time. Upon arrival at the port it was a little confusing as to where to go. Boat ride was nice but I probably would not recommend for elderly or young kids. Island was beautiful and we had our own little cabana and hammock which we paid extra for ahead of time. Understand the different prices and armband colors before paying because some were disappointed they did not have access to everything. Lunch was delicious and the cocktails were very nice and reasonably priced. Massage and water sports also available for additional charge.

I highly recommend this tour. It was a great combination of relaxation and snorkeling. The snorkel tour was a short boat ride from the island and well worth it. The reef is very pretty and diverse. The guide has a cheery disposition. The lunch was excellent and the island is beautiful.
