Settle in for the ferry trip from Cannes to St Tropez, a journey of about one hour 15 minutes. Enjoy the scenery along the way, and disembark in the village of St Tropez for a day's worth of independent exploration.

St Tropez has been a much-loved seaside resort since the years after World War II, and in later years its cultural importance grew thanks to an influx of artists and the nascent Yé-yé movement of the 1960s. Celebrities and wealthy vacationers soon followed, giving the town its current reputation as one of luxury and glamour. As a result, there are many sides of St Tropez to discover during your visit.

Walk through the Old Port to see the luxury yachts bobbing in the water. Browse the wide array of high-end boutiques or casual outdoor markets for unique souvenirs. Sightsee your way through the St Tropez Church (Église de St Tropez) and the 17th-century Citadelle de St Tropez, from which you get a great vantage point over the town.

Get cultured at the Musée de l’Annonciade, where the collection includes pieces by Picasso and Matisse. Explore the more peaceful area of the La Ponche fishing quarter. Take to the water with a windsurfing class. Venture back toward the harbor for a seafood lunch or to simply enjoy the Mediterranean sun on a lovely St Tropez beach.

At the end of your day in St Tropez, head back to the port for the ferry ride back to Cannes.

Unfortunately due to unforeseen weather conditions the boat trip could not operate. However I was offered an alternative day or my money back. There was a prompt refund and no issue

Excellent service. Boat was very full. If you choose this go early. Location very hard to find. No signs posted. Several tours leaving from same location made it confusing. Was put in 4 different lines an English guide explained where I needed to be.

The ferry ride was lovely. I would have given this a 5 star yet the air conditioner didn’t work over my table and it was record high temps so we were sweating the entire ride there and back.

This ferry ride was really beautiful and relaxing. The service was excellent, it was easy to find the ferry, and the staff took the time to describe some of the sites that we saw along the way on the boat ride. And of course St Tropez is just stunning. Worth every penny!

I tripped over a piece of the gangplank left in the entry way. Terrible hazard with damaged knees. Bleeding and scraped. Captain was unapologetic and rude. Stewards were helpful and nice. Bandaged my legs. Another woman displaced her knee cap ! Need a better entry and exit system

Had a great trip over twice in two days but would be better if they had told me that the best beach was in pampelonne then I would have been better informed

Took myself on a solo trip to visit...

Took myself on a solo trip to visit several areas in France. The ferry ride from Cannes to Saint Tropez was one of the many highlights during of my vacation. The ferry departed on time. There was ample space on both levels of the ferry. The scenery along the coastline was breathtaking. The crew was courteous, and the time allowed in Saint Tropez was just enough. Part of the adventure of a solo trip is the opportunity to figure things out on your own. This ferry ride was so accommodating that I didnt have the chance to worry. Kudos to Viator, the ferry operators and the great service workers and merchants in Saint Tropez.
Check in at the Port of Cannes on...

Check in at the Port of Cannes on August 30 was easy breezy. The wait to get on was just 15 minutes as we needed to let the boat to Monaco leave first. The ferry to St Tropez was clean, fast and efficient. There was plenty of staff on board to answer any questions and they passed around snacks and cold drinks for purchase. The entire boat ride was about an hour but it went by so fast because you are in the South of France after all and the scenery is breathtaking. Once in St Tropez you could take the bus 7705bus depot was literally a 2 minute walk from the Pier where the boat docked to Pampelonne Beach which was wonderful or you could just walk around the shop filled town and have a cocktail at the famous Senequier Restaurant where all the celebrities go and you can just people watch. Ferry leaves back to St Tropez on time, to the minute, so don't be late. A cab ride from Monaco to Cannes cost us 180 Euros when we learned we missed the last train so I cant imagine what a cab ride from St Tropez to Cannes is. Its a wonderful excursion, don't hesitate to do the ferry, you will be pleased. I look forward to booking again with Viator.
