Look let me be honest with you. You’re paying for the private car and private guide. It was two of us, guide and driver. For that the money was well spent. For the rest, it’s a terrible experience. Reality check: they are all like this. Your guide knew just enough memorized English to tell you the general stuff. Museum tour is just a quick museum tour, we didn’t want to spend too much time there. So being able to say let’s move forward was great. They do the typical tourist trap b.s. Hey do you want to see the famous flower? Sure. They bring you to perfume shop, make a big charade with tea and stuff to entice you to buy stuff. We saw through that and skipped it. We did however want to tourist trap the papyrus shop we just hope it was real papyrus, who knows. Same type of experience be warned. The worst part of the trip was the pyramids. The guide didn’t properly explain what was to follow. They said do you want to do horse ride or carriage. Did not explain it was additional cost. Next thing we know we are like a piece of wallet while they are talking in Egyptian trying to figure out how much to screw us over. 55$ usd later and a carriage ride of hell, bumpy, talkative driver, cheesy photos, honestly just to go take a picture of the pyramids was such a rip off. I suppose there is no other way around it but what an awful experience. Literally stolen money, the guide was in on it. Overall just an awful feeling all around but great photos. Ultimately, you pay for private tour. But you don’t get anything other than a private driver and an average guide. When I told her about this, she got defensive. They love to tell you that they want to “make you happy” but what they do just makes you stressed and disappointed. A stain on this historic culture. I’m all for supporting the locals, but this is the Egyptian m.a.f.i.a. 55$ for a carriage ride is robbery. They don’t drive you past the signs where it says all devices are 350 Egyptian pounds.

Ebrahim was a wonderful guide. Just the right amount of information & looked after us very well. He was very knowledgable & enthusiastic. We had a wonderful day. The driver was great too. We felt perfectly safe. Such an amazing day. Loved every minute.

Nevin (pronounced Naa-veen) is the reason Iam writing this review she is amazing. She gave us a wonderful experience by not only explaining everything as an Egyptologist but also how to navigate the lines, the hassles and the tourist traps. My girls felt so comfortable with her. Her English is excellent and she is full of energy. We casually mentioned getting Kartouches for my girls in gold. She took it upon herself to arrange it to be made within hours at a great price. As tourists it can be intimidating to figure it all out on your own. She made it a pleasant and memorable experience. Thank you Nevin. She is wearing dark jeans and standing on the left. Hope to see you again Nevin. Oh! I forgot the best Falafels we had in Egypt. She bought it for our lunch.

Good communication leading up to meeting point. Guide has good knowledge of Egypt. Unprofessional presentation with no uniform nor company car - ? cowboy style set up. Rushed full day trip. I travelled 4000Km to see Giza - It was all rushed through. No chance to appreciate it. I expected 90% time allocated to this. Didn't go around Sphinx. Not all pyramids visited in trip. Water bottles/ lunch - vague, unfulfilled inclusive terms on website Expect to pay extra eg car parks Far too much time allocated to sponsored stops - perfume and papyrus paper shops When workers beg for tips, it make you wonder how much of the original fees paid actually filters down to workers.

Dear Esteemed Guest, thanks for sharing your review but we want to clarity the following: - You called our number the previous day of the tour and we confirmed that the pick up time will be from the Receiption area but during the day tour you was waiting outside the hotel so the guide didn’t recognize you as he’s was looking for you at the Receiption area , the pick up issue was sort within 1 minute as you was having local phone number and everything was run on time without any delay . - No tour guide wearing in Egypt uniform and warming uniform not effect the tour specially the tour was private just for 1 person . - was was clean and an Excellent condition and this is the types of car all Travel agent use for a travel business for solo traveler . - the car was stared at 08:00 am and dropped by the driver and the guide at the hotel around 18:00 which is almost for 10 hours including the driving from and to the hotel which is enough to cover the pyramids and the Egyptian museum . - The Lunch is clearly mentioned will be a local food Koshari or Falafel and the guide gets the food from the best Egyptian restaurant ( Felfela restaurant please check the reviews) - the guide informed you that we can stop by the papyrus museum to see how The egyptian use it for writing as a kind of educational but no one push you to buy or pay something if you didn’t like the idea its simply ask the guide that’s you are not interested specially the tour was private. - it’s mentioned clearly that the time you will spent around Giza Pyramids and Sphinx will be around 2-3 hours which is an enough time and the guide and he’s explained everything and stopped you around c different locations he asked if you need more time to spent . I didn’t find a reason that you are rating the tour as a poor tour as everything was on time , you had enough time Around all the sightseeing. - no one ask you to pay a car parking or tipping at all just it’s mentioned with the tour description that tipping is not included but it’s an optional issue you can tip or no it’s up to you. The guide was supposed to take us to the Cairo Museum but told us that 90% of the exhibits had been removed to the New Museum which had not opened yet. Convinced us to go to the Egyptian Cultural Museum which was OK but small. After the tour we went to the Cairo Museum on our own and found only 30% of items removed. We saw Tutankhamun's mask, jewelry, coffin etc which was worth seeing on it's own. Tour should have been Cairo Museum, lunch, Giza pyramid and Sphinx, back to hotel by 16.00. To pad it out they offered visits to perfume shop and then papyrus shop which wasn't on the advertised agenda. We declined We did in reverse order so driver could drop guide off at 13.30 on our way back to town. Tour finished at 14.00. The rest of the visit was OK, guide had average knowledge and was pleasant, the meal was one plate of Koshari in cheap local cafe cost a whole $1 for all 4 of us but was tasty.

I booked this tour reading after reading few reviews about it. This was the first time I had ever booked a tour via Viator. I had zero expectations and little hope. But I was pleasantly surprised. The car was on time .. 9 am .. k met our tour guide Ibrahim on the way to Giza Pyramid. He is super smart guy and speaks very fluent English. He is extremely knowledgeable and he took care of us very well. He knew his stuff .. exact spots to get the best pictures and views. He gave us bottled water .. he got us falafel lunch and gave an excellent tour of the museum. I highly recommend him for anyone booking him for tour of pyramid / sphinx / museum. He is good and your man. Very professional. All the photos which you see on the review were taken by him. A++++++ tour.

I had the pleasure to be assisted by Nevin while exploring Cairo for the first time. Nevin has a wealth of historical knowledge pertaining to Egypt. Her passion, professionalism and dedication to Egypt made it an amazing day of exploring the Giza Pyramids, Sphinx, as well as the Egyptian museums. Through out my Journey Nevin planned and managed our time adequately and was flexible to make changes to our schedule when necessary. I was so impressed on my first day that I decided to spend a second day with her exploring Cairo and the surrounding areas. Nevin inclusive went out of her way to assist with getting a COVID PCR test for my return home and other personal details along my journey. I would recommend spending time with her if you want to explore Egypts history, culture, or the local culinary scene.

The trip was amazing, it was almost worth every penny! The guide really knew his way around, he was full of knowledge about all the artifacts. the private tour also comes with a private driver so you are guaranteed of a safe travel. The one thing I did not like about the tour were the commercial stops along the way, where they will bring you to sell you stuff you don’t really need. On the other hand that is how they make their living I guess. Nevertheless like I said the trip is worth every penny.
