Departure Time

9:45 AM
Your morning starts with a pickup from your centrally located Bayeux hotel, by air-conditioned minivan. After the drive out of Bayeaux, spin onward to the D-Day landing sites of the Normandy coast—where Allied soldiers laid down their lives during WWII.

On arrival, visit the La Cambe German war cemetery—close to the site where American forces landed on Omaha Beach—and learn of the loss of life felt on both sides of the battle. Then, explore Sainte-Mère-Église and Utah Beach—both key battle sites for US troops.

After lunch, take in sites of interest including the Normandy American Cemetery, Omaha Beach—assaulted at 6:30am on D-Day morning by the 29th Infantry Division and the 1st Infantry Division—the Pointe Du Hoc gun battery. Along the way, listen as your private guide brings the region’s WWII history to life.

When your time among the D-Day landing beaches comes to an end, return to your Bayeux hotel to conclude your private tour.

Please note: This private tour of the American D-Day beaches is suitable for a maximum of eight passengers.

This was an amazingly jumble experience. Our tour guide Boy yes that is his name was a wealth of information. He took us to all the highlights and even a few not on the list. We ended the day with Taps at the Normandy American Cemetery and Memorial Very moving experience. I would highly recommend this to all that travel to Normandy. If I could give our guide Boy more than 5 Stars I certainly would. Thank Your for an Awesome Experience

This tour was better than I expected. Our guide Tom was so full of knowledge and a true inspiration to our whole family! The day went by way to fast. I am sure Tom could have talked and shown us so much more. The highlight was eating lunch at Cafe J. Philippe Epicerie and seeing how they restored it.

The high point of our two week trip in Europe! Our tour guide Tom was extremely knowledgeable, enthusiastic and very accommodating. His ability to bring D-day events to life through his stories was outstanding. We had just four of us on the tour which made the experience highly personalized. Well worth the cost. A Normandy visit was on my bucket list and I can say that this tour made it complete. Highly recommended!!!

Andy was spectacular...a 10. His knowledge, along with videos in the van before each site, plus his notebook of people, generals, and key people on each place we visited, and his superior knowledge of each location and the history made that full day tour perfect. Everyone should have his company at the top of their list. John R
