After an adventurous tuktuk ride we arrived at the Pink Chili cooking school. The instructor was very friendly and knowledgeable. She took the time to explain all the ingredients we would use before we got started. Having the opportunity to prepare our own version of Panang Curry paste was quite the experience and having the majority of the prep work completed was a great surprise.

Although we enjoyed the cooking, on being met we were informed the other participants were not coming so did we really want to do it. The lady taking the class seemed almost put out that we did. This was disappointing as it took nearly an hour to get there on the train during rush hour ... it would have been easier for us to have attended another cooking class whereby you are collected by coach and taken further out and would have taken the same amount of time.

This was one of the best activity we did in Bangkok. I would say it was a whole new experience from start to finish. Visit to the market, bought most of the produce, prepared the green curry spice from scratch which included chopping and pounding. The kitchen was well equipped where we then, cooked Pad Thai, green curry chicken, and sticky rice with mango. The experience was beyond words could explain. If you are a foodie this has to be on your to do list and if you are not just do it you won't regret it!

This was a nice class that started at a local market. The owner/teacher, Pimmy showed us the various ingredients that we would be using in the meal which included Penang Curry with Chicken, Papaya Salad, Tamarind Shrimp and Pumpkin custard. We actually made the curry paste which was a complicated process but gave us an appreciation of the complexity of Thai cooking. The kitchen was clean and we all had our individual stations. It was a fun experience and taught me some great recipes that I will use once I get home. The class was not too long and the final meal was delicious. This is a great opportunity to learn about Thai cooking as well as culture.

My girlfriend and I took this class of Thai cooking which was really enjoyable.Pimmy, the Thai cooking teacher, was very kind and a lot of fun. We started by visiting the market that was an eye opener to different local herbs and vegetables that we never knew existed. Then we prepare all the dishes from scratch, including the curry paste that we had to prepare by hand with a pestle and mortar. The dishes we have cooked were simply delicious. We loved Thai food and honestly we were surprised that our favorite one, the green curry was more good on our version rather than in a local restaurant. Also, I think the price is very reasonable in regards to the good time spend and the number of dishes prepared. In all, I really recommend this experience to anyone that was exceeded our expectation. It is definitely a good way to spend half a day in the city
