Down with COVID-19 that I wasn't able to do the tour

I hope I can get my full refund though I didn't manage to cancel this on time but it was because I was down with COVID-19 that I wasn't able to do this. It's already sad enough to be stucked in the hotel room for 5 days, not experiencing Athens which I m here for... Please review my refund request, thank you!

I got to see the acropolis and museum as well as other Athens sights but the earpieces weren't working so it was difficult to hear the guide. Also, she should have known that the cafe in the museum wasn't operational. We ate at a charming outdoor restaurant but had to find our own way back to the bus, which was a little tricky.

It was a great tour with great lunch option, only negative was tour guide & the length of tours. It should be more individually paced - no one's interested in a lengthy, monotonous history lesson for hours. If I have a question, I will ask otherwise, please let me enjoy my own tour. Thanks!

The beginning of the tour was on a bus in Athens traffic passing by a few of the sites. A long time spent at stop lights in the busy city. The guided tour of the Acropolis and Museum was the highlight with good information provided, but there was a lot of waiting for people to gather. To repeat I would spend a day exploring the site and surrounding monuments and read the placards. The last part of the trip was a long bus ride to the poseidon temple with only a 15 min tour and 30 min free time.

Seemed extremely disorganized. Pick-up was late and in the wrong spot. Guide’s microphone wasn’t compatible with our listening devices; 40 of us had to circle up tightly to slightly hear. Guide was nice and knowledgeable but not a good tour experience. I’d go with any other company.

Loved this tour, make sure you have comfortable walking shoes for the acropolis! I did a full day tour and I enjoyed seeing numerous landmarks in a vehicle; it was like a 10-in-1. Catolina (probably misspelled) was extremely knowledgeable and funny, the tour went smoothly.

Best way to see Athens

We had a wonderful time on our day trip. We were picked up and dropped off at our hotel. I wish I could remember our guide's name, but I don't. She was friendly and very knowledgeable. Our tour was both in English and Spanish and she managed it very well. We ended our trip at the Temple of Poseidon and the drive along the coast was marvelous. I highly recommend it!

The all day Athens was a great way to the start of my birthday vacation trip. The tour was truly amazing, both tour guides were exceptionally knowledgeable, very kind and courteous. The buses were very comfortable and air was perfect, not too cold. Also the lunch was totally above what I expected and was a short walk for meeting place for later part of tour. Definitely worth all trip, lots of walking and climbing stairs. Breathtaking views were worth it. Love, love this Athens tour.

Very bad planning - not worth the price

We spent the first hour changing vehicles, then everybody was advice after the tour that we will not be dropped off at our hotels because there will be a strike I’m downtown and even though that was included in their price no other options for transportation was offered, they refused to pay taxi fees. They should have cancel the tour as soon as they learned about the strike not leave everybody stranded and figuring out on their own how to get back to the hotel.

This tour was very overpriced, so I would not recommend it. I would suggest that you visit the acropolis and acropolis museum on your own and then book only a half day tour for the afternoon part of this tour, which is available. We did not get very much comments/history from the tour guide throughout the day and I was asked to pay EUR 38 in the morning before the tour starts, so you are basically paying for the lunch and the travel with the tour bus this tour. Also, in the evening, we were not dropped off where we got picked up in the morning. We were dropped off where is the office of this local tour company and people had to find their own way back to their hotel. Not recommended!

The Viator Full Day Tour of Athens was very good. We had a very short time in Athens so wanted to see all the highlights in one day. We were picked up at our hotel as prearranged.The morning tour around Athens and the Acropolis were very informative. The restaurant they took us to for lunch had good authentic Greek food. The afternoon tour down the coast gave us a chance to see more or the mainland before we headed to the islands. Our only warning is that it is a very long day. We were picked up at 8:30am and didn't get back to the hotel until 7:30pm. However, I would still recommend it if you are short of time in Athens.

My friend and I went on the full day tour to Athens. The tour began with about thirty people. After driving around the center of town, we went to the Acropolis, it was very crowded and there was no way one guide could keep that many people together. We were to meet after some free time and we couldn't find part of the group. Next we walk to the Acropolis Museum, part of the group left after that, the guide left those who had booked lunch at a restaurant, and we were told to meet another guide after lunch four block away, and there wasn't any specific directions how to get there. We didn't realize in the afternoon, we were driving to Zeus's temple an hour out of town. It was after seven before we were dropped off in heavy traffic two blocks from our hotel. One elderly man missed his stop and had to find a taxi to get back. We were very disappointed in the tour.
