Pretty views, Best crew!

Beautiful boat tour around the island. Lots of opportunities to hop in and enjoy the sea. The cave was really cool to swim into, and the food provided was excellent. The captain and crew are very personable people. They wanted to make sure everyone was happy and enjoying their time. Definitely an experience you should have on your stay in Naxos!

Site amazing process needs some improvement

The monasterys are amazing we are very happy we did this trip. The first tour guide was a bit dismissive with people when they asked questions. We would have liked if the overnight hotel was in a village instead of outside of a town there was no where to walk or see in our free time. Also we were asked which hotel we would liked to be picked up at so we booked a stay near one of the choices and then out of no where we received an email telling us we had to meet at an hotel half a kilometre away. It was due to the thin streets which makes sense but the booking process should not give you choices that are not options or promise hotel pick up if this these are not options. This is quite a distance dragging luggage over uneven old streets. Also what if we didn’t see the email? Second Tour guide was very informative. Driver was amazing for the thin roads and traffic

Truly Enjoyed The Tour!!

Spectacular trip visiting the Temple of Apollo and the famed location of the Oracle and original Pan Hellenic games. Truly incredible site. This followed by the mind blowing Minasteries of Meteora. Truly a site to behold. Breathtaking scenery and the monasteries themselves were truly beautiful. Of course the tour would have been nothing without our incredible Tour guide Ave ( short name :))! Ave was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about every location and Grecian history in general! His added details about the Grecian gods and their followers made the tour truly come to life. Thank you Ave!!!
Only negatives are more about the food. The stop at the Restaurant at the sea was just bad. Bland, overpriced food. Maybe indicative of the region but just felt like a tourist trap. The food at the Hotel that evening was even worse. Why not take us somewhere nicer. I would have happily paid for it. Lunch by the Monasteries was delicious with a great view. Do better with the food Chat Tours! This is why I gave 4 stars instead of 5.
Note: it is a long trip with about a 5-6 hour drive back from Meteora at the end.
Horrible experience with Viator

We booked the two days tour to Delphi and Meterora in March 2022. When we booked it on viator.com, we noticed there are two different itineraries available. One will make a stop at Arachova village for 1 hour 30 minutes and the other has a stop at Leonidas Monument. We booked the first one as we like to see Arachova village. We started our two days tour on May 19, 2022 but there was no stop at the village as mentioned on the website.
We talked to the tour guide Effia on the bus at around 6:00pm and showed to her the two different itineraries on viator’s website. At that time our itinerary was still showing on the website, she can be our witness. She helped us to call customer service to find out why. However the lady on the phone insisted there’s only one itinerary and could not find our itinerary with a stop at the village. She did not offer any help at all.
When we pointed it out to Effia, we only wanted to clarify but not to make any complaints. If there’s a mistake on the website that misleads customers, we can accept an apology. We just want to voice out and clarify.
However after we spoke to customer service at around 7:00pm, someone changed the itinerary on the website and deleted the stop at the village in order to cover up the mistakes and then emailed us at 7:18pm with a link for the updated itinerary. This is totally unacceptable and ridiculous. They make us look like a fool and don’t know what we paid for is a nonsense.
Everyone makes mistakes and if they admit it sincerely, they can still maintain their goodwill but instead of doing so, they cheated and tried to cover it up. THIS IS BAD!!!! We are very disappointed with Viator’s service.
We will put a very bad review on viator’s website. To run business successfully is by honesty, not by telling lies!!!!

Seeing Meteora is a must!!!

We were picked up from our hotel without any problem. The bus was quite full because it was like a common bus for 2 tour operators. When we reached a place before Delphi, we transferred to the bus of our actual tour operator. The bus was also quite full because we (2-day trippers) are joining the 4-day, 3-day tour on their 3rd/2nd day. There is WIFI on the bus but the guide did not share this until we asked -- probably mentioned to all the 4-day or 3-day trippers already. The information given is like a continuing story from the 4day,3day tour which us (2day) have no idea of. I suggest that the guide he/she speak in the point of view that everyone on the bus are new - no reference to previous 2 days.
After the transfer to the new bus, we went to Delphi. Unfortunately, there was a strike of the workers at the Temple of Apollo - it is closed. We were not able to see the temple up close. Instead, we walked to Athena's temple in Delphi where we can see the Temple of Apollo from afar. This is quite frustrating but this is not controlled by tour operator. We then stopped by the Spartan monument before going to Amelia Hotel in the outskirts of Meteora. It would have been better if the hotel was located in the Meteora center so we can already start admiring the monolithic stones as soon as we arrive. Anyways, dinner and breakfast was good. We then proceeded to visit 2 monasteries. The views on Meteora was really breathtaking.
Despite the strike and some not so good experiences along the way, I still recommend this tour. I just hope the tour operator use these reviews to make the experiences of their future travelers more complete.

2 Day Tour was okay
tmyers16t
, Oct 2021
You spent most of the trip in the car and about 30-45 at the three stops. The tour guide was nice but only talked for a few minutes at each site and they gave you time to walk around. The hotel was nice and the included food was good. For non-paid meals and rest stops they took you to specific restaurants where options were very limited, not good, and pricey. Overall the Delphi and Meteora were nice to see but not worth it.
Response from Host , Oct 2021
Dear client,
We are thanking you for your review. Its true that we have to cover long distances in the bus and unfortunately this is the only way to visit in 2 days Delphi and Meteora. On first day you visited the arch. site of Delphi and the guide starts to guide you from 08:45 to 11:30 in the bus and then 1 hour in Delphi and of course she must give you some free time on your own to have your photos of this important site before your departure to Meteora. On day 2 you visited 2 monasteries and again the guide guided you in the bus and then to the monasteries. Conforming Covid protocols she can't guide in the churches therefore you have time to walk around. Hope you will hold the unique scenic of Meteora.
Kind regards
Hara Kritikidou

Joy was our first tour...
Cori_H
, Oct 2021
Joy was our first tour guide to Delphi. Instead of talking to the tour she talked to the driver the whole time. Finally got to Delphi and she talked which gave us limited time to see the sites. Then we were transferred to another tour. Our tour guide was much better but the hotel was just ok. Enjoyed the monetary but the guide did not check which one was open so we had to go to a different one. Wish we had more time to see the sites

Meteora part of the tour was 5 star
Pratim_B
, Sep 2021
The first 1/2 day tour to Delphi was too rushed and less than satisfactory. Then we joined another bus with the same company. It was a night and day difference. We spend 1-1/2 days in Meteora. Our tour guide Giota was excellent in explaining the history and kept us engaged.

Worth the cost and time investment.
Michael_D
, Sep 2021
Overall the trip was worth the cost, the time, and the length of bus travel. History and geology converge to give this trip a great perspective. The guides were very pleasant, and did a great job explaining why the areas are so important to Greece, as well as keeping us organized. Poor weather at Meteora (cloud & drizzle) challenged visibility, but that was just the luck of the draw. Viator did a great job. Thanks for the experience.
Smooth operation, guides are depending

We joined 2 days tour. We traveled by bus with customers for one day tour then changed bus to continue our trip joining group of customers who were on 4 days tour. The overall operation was smooth and nice. However, we felt that the level of tour guides is really depending.
The guide on the first bus from Athens to Delphi was good but the next guide from Delphi to Meteora then back to Athens was sort of insensitive. During the trip, I didn’t feel like I was her customer as she seemed wanting to concentrate on tour operation rather than taking care of customers.
Delphi and Meteora

A nice relaxing trip. Enjoyed all aspects especially once I was in a smaller group. I would have liked more time at Delphi. I had to give up seeing all of the outdoor sites to be able to spend time in the museum. I suggest missing the guides presentation (which was very interesting) if you want to see it all. Meteora was fascinating. Hotel and stops were great. Also would have appreciated info re dress codes prior to travelling.

Please improve the guide's English.
VioletWC_S
, Oct 2019
The guide's English was very poor. She has a lot of Greek ascent and I can hardly understand what she meant to say. I even heard of some other guides laughed at her pronunciation. Moreover, she seemed to be readi with difficulty on the coach when introducing the sites.

A little Disappointing
Angelica S
, Oct 2019
The trip on the whole was very good but quite a long way. We started the day by being picked up at 8am and travelling to Delphi with a local guide on board. We did stop a few times along the way for toilet stops. The guide stayed with us when we were in Delphi and was talking about the ruins but then left us to be on our own which didn't give us that much time to explore as we were taken to the 3rd level and needed to be back on the bus by a certain time. After Delphi we dropped off some people who were not doing the Meteora part and we got another guide. This guide was very hard to understand and made it very difficult to focus. We stayed at the hotel Amelia in Meteora which included a buffet dinner and the overnight stay with breakfast included. Hotel was comfortable and the restaurant meals were very good. The next day we went to Meteora. The weather was wet and this made it a little difficult to see the monasteries when the clouds move over. The monasteries have a very strict dress code, men must have long pants or shorts that cover the knees and women are to have their shoulders covered and can be allowed in with a shirt or dress providing their knees are covered. If a women wears pants they must get a wrap from the attendant. We visited 2 of the monasteries and the views were amazing and the monasteries themselves were very interesting but be prepared to climb a few steps. Overall it was a very nice place to visit but a very long day coming home.
2 Must-see's in Greece with all the work done for you
worldoverMaine
, Sep 2019
Most economical way to just sit back and enjoy the ride to 2 must-see sites if you visit Greece. The tour was very organized and included almost everything except lunch and tips. Our guide for Meteora was very personable and particularly informative even though I'd been there before. Our only criticism was that the stop at Delphi seemed rushed. There is so much to see. We had to run through the museum which we would have liked to spend more time in. Hopefully, another 30 to 45 minutes would have been just right. (NOTE: We speed walked up to the theater and stadium.) For anyone with reduced mobility, those 2 features would not have been possible if you stayed with the group to listen to the guide's tour of the site.
