We enjoyed our island 🏝 excursion the price was very reasonable it came with food and drink not alcohol beverages, the only thing we didn't like was the rocks at the bottom ⛱️ of thebeach and walking into the beach it's not fun make sure you wear swim shoes because you can hurt yourself just be careful other than that we really enjoy Da Palm Island

Food is ok, drinks are delicious but sweet. The ocean is amazing, water is clear, fish were beautiful, everyone was nice and helpful.
Loved the flamingos and love how they take care of them. They are there to view only.
Take advantage of the free snorkeling. Several extras for the kids, cotton Candy, smoothies, crafts, hair beads, etc.; so bring cash!
They do NOT provide towels unless you book a private cabana. So plan accordingly.
DePalm island experience was “ok”.

I gave three stars largely for what the day could have been, however the experience was far from perfect. The confirmation lists the day as being from 10 to 5 pm. It is hard to reconcile what those times refer to. The pick up was arranged for 9:00 am but showed up at 9:25. We then went to the location where you catch the ferry over to the island, this was the first surprise as when exiting the bus the driver advised that we should take the 3:45 pm ferry to catch the bus back to the hotel. We did not think much of it at the time as we assumed he made an error and meant 4:45 pm. The island itself we “ok”. They pack a big too many people onto the island so quarters are a bit cramped. I would say for what it was the food was also just “ok” but about what you expect for an attraction like this. When it was time to leave we asked an employee concerning the departure time and she was very rude almost arguing with us and ending by saying “if you get on the island early you cannot expect to be the last to leave, all 500 people cannot leave at the same time”. I have been to similar attractions in Cancun and Jamaica which cater to far more guests and seem to have figured it out. It was our least favorite of the four Aruba attractions during our stay.

De Palm Island I Feel like is a place you must book when visiting Aruba. It so beautiful and so much to do at this one location. I gave 3 stars based on the fact I didn’t get to experience everything there after I did Sea Trek which was amazing I went to get on the banana boat and your standing in a line wrapping around the corner in front of the bathrooms in the line over and hour because they only have one banana boat on the water and everytime people fall off it takes even longer to come back. I feel like it should be more than one banana boat going because once we got done with that it was time to go so I only got to eat, Sea Trek , and banana boat. Like I said I recommend De Palm But they definitely should make some adjustments. If I pay I wanna play. However again don’t let that small portion of experience deter you please book this place it’s amazing I can’t wait to go back one day and do everything I didn’t get to do before!!!!
Do not Use Viator or TripAdvisor..they will leave you

Viator customer service advised us to be there at the pickup location, Renaissance Ocean Suites at 9:40am as we will start at 10am for the tour. We got there at 9:51am and they left us! My son and I were stranded and had to look for a taxi on our own. What's the point of the paid bus ride to/ from the resort and then get left behind. I even told them that I was docking fro. The Royal Caribbean Dock at 9:30am and I was among the first people to leave the ramp to get to them. I can't believe even with the advabce notice that we were on our way and that we'd be there before 10am, they still left us and no call, text or email. We have full Tmobile service here in Aruba and they had our cell #. Not a good company to us by any means. If you're coming from the Royal Caribbean Cruise,
..Do NOT use Viator!!
The advertisement about the Flamingo needs to be changed and the driver needs training on customer service

We weren'able to feed or take pictures with the Flamingo which was why we booked the tour. Most disappointing part was getting back on the bus where the bus driver told us that the seat directly behind was for his personal items and there's seating in back which wasn't so as we disembark fir the next bus there he had seated a white couple where he just said was unavailable. Everyone should be treated fairly

The island was great. Had a good day at the beach and other activities.
My only issue is the bus leaves at 4pm and you have to leave the island at 3:45pm otherwise you are trapped from 10- 4. If you want to leave earlier, after having paid for the package; you'd have to take a $50 taxi.
I feel the bases should be hourly for those of us who want to leave earlier than 3:45pn

If you are coming for the flamingos, don't.
Fortunate_E
, Jul 2022
De Palm Island was probably the most disappointing part of my trip. The beach is completely full of rocks making it really hard to enjoy the water. There are like six flamingos kept behind a gate that we cannot access, so pictures have to be taken from afar (which most people didn't realize). If you want to be around flamingos and even feed them, Renaissance is the place to go. Overall, its a great place for kids as it has a water slide and other attractions. But as an adult, I was pretty disappointed.

Probably best with young kids or grandkids
Mark_K
, Jul 2022
Like most things on Aruba, the outing was a bit overpriced for what you got. Fortunately, tourism is still picking up on the island, so this place wasn't packed, but was busy. The unlimited adult beverages were pretty tasty, but very light on the alcohol. Plenty of food. Be sure to check out the buffet area for additional food options. A decent place for the kids to play, but not much else.
Snorkeling Was Wonderful

I enjoyed my visit to the island. I especially loved the snorkeling. There were lots of beautiful fish and coral to see. There was no ti e limit so that was nice. The banana boat rides were short but I still enjoyed that. There was a small beach but water shoes are a must. The island is a great place for families as there are lots of activities for children. The lunch buffet was mediocre. The salad bar has fresh selections of various salads and fruit. Loved the pineapple. At the end of the day there were long lines waiting for their bus to take them back to their hotel. The only negative for me was there is no shelter provided so you are standing in the hot sun for 20-25 minutes if you have to wait on the next bus.
Do not waste your money

Horrible experience. Driver didn’t show up they said 10 am departure and then said they emailed and said 9 am. We never received any such email. They should have a list of travels and have hotel call the rooms if people aren’t there . Food is horrible! They only have 2 adult slides . Flamingo exhibit closes at 2 which we weren’t told so we missed it. The beach is all rocky not really a beach. Pictures make it look 1 million times better. Total waste of money for what they have to offer.

We perform checks on reviews
You can only submit a review or rating of an experience to Viator if you were the person who made the booking through Viator. Before publication, each review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information for each of the following criteria: who, what, how, and when. If the system detects something that contradicts our publication criteria, the review is not published. When the system detects a problem with a review, it may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site. In some cases, we will also send you an email asking you to validate your review before it is published. All you need to do is click on the link provided in the email. After publication, our team checks each review reported to it as not meeting our publication criteria. Tripadvisor reviews that appear on the Viator site are subject to the same checks and moderation processes as set out above. It is not necessary to have booked an experience through Viator (or Tripadvisor) to submit a review of an experience to the Tripadvisor site.
