Giles gave us an outstanding bike tour of st John's as well as fort James. Plus fun kayaking tour of mangrove Bay. Giles was very well spoken and knowledgeable of the history of Antigua.

This was a great day with Jules and Mark. They expertly navigated us through the the streets. Made a stop for some history about the island then took us to an inlet we’re the mangroves were and we hopped aboard our kayaks for a fun outing kayaking. We learned about the mangroves and how important they are to protect the island. We saw these flower like things which turned out to be little jellyfish. They were amazing. Then paddled back to we’re we got in our kayaks and hoped on to our bikes and headed to one of the 3 forts that protected the island from intruders. Take the tour and get the stories. I felt very safe. Jules and Mark kept us safe riding through streets and got us back safe and sound. I so in joyed this excursion.

Relaxed bike, hike and kayak- recommended😁

Thoroughly enjoyed our 3 hour bike, kayak and hike with Giles and Mark. Struggled initially to find their base, but found them and had a ‘chilled out’ cycle to a nearby mangrove where we took the kayaks out for a relaxed paddle. The water was fairly shallow but this didn’t dampen our enjoyment of the area. We saw quite a few different kinds of birds, learned about the trees and saw local jellyfish too. Giles lead the trip in the main, and told us about local history, and the island in general. After the kayaking we headed off on the bikes to the very quiet beach at Fort James. We thoroughly enjoyed half an hour at the beach before walking/hiking up to the abandoned Fort. We saw the remaining cannons from 1880’s (hope I got my dates right!!) which were made in the Central Scotland area near to where we reside- small world! Such a shame the Fort is so dilapidated, but you get a feeling for the place, and it has the most beautiful view. The roads in the area are quite pot-holed and the rules of the road are not quite the same as the UK (lots of tooting horns- but more to make you aware of a vehicles presence than a sign of annoyance…..I hope!!). That said, we felt very safe with Giles and Mark. Giles and Mark are very personable and friendly. We were fortunate that there were only two of us on the trip so we had very attentive trip. Not too strenuous at all. We would definitely recommend this trip.

Perfect amount of exercise!

One of the best excursions we have done! Both of the tour guides were awesome and shared a lot of great information about the beautiful country of Antigua. These tours are small & intimate; my wife and I were the only ones on the tour! Also, this tour is the perfect amount of exercise while on vacation. You bike only a couple of miles — with many stops along the way. And for the kayak and hike section, you go slow and see a lot along the way. Couldn’t recommend this tour enough!

Giles and Mark were wonderful guided and people. They were very knowledgeable, friendly and of fun. The cycling was very enjoyable, just the right pace not too strenuous, getting some information about St. John’s, kayaking was interesting and the view from Fort James was stunning. All in all, highly recommend this activity :-)

Sunday Funday with Triflexcusion!
Susan_R

Great morning with Giles and Mark! We took our bike tour on a Sunday morning, which meant most things in St. John's were closed, but it also meant that the streets were quiet and we didn't have to deal with too many cars. There were no cruise ships in port, which meant less people around to book this tour, so it was just the 4 of us -- we had Giles and Mark to ourselves! The tour was very personal and informative -- the guys really know their history, plus we got to ask them a lot of questions about life on Antigua. We stopped at a historic dockyard, beautiful Fort James Beach for about a half hour, historic Fort James (the ruins of an 18th century British fort) , and we did some easy-level kayaking at a nearby bay as well. It was very relaxing and a nice way to break up our time and do something different and active, as we didn't want to spend another day just laying on the beach at our resort. Giles and Mark are super nice and made us feel very comfortable as we rode and chatted with them. I highly recommend this tour if you want to add some light activity to your Antigua beach vacation! Thank you, Giles and Mark, for a wonderful time!

A Great excursion

We initially had a hard time making contact with the excursion but once we found the place by way of help from a local we thoroughly enjoyed this excursion. We would have enjoyed having more time in the kayaks and doing more but overall a great excursion.

Great bikes, top notch. Guides very knowledgeable, felt safe with them. Kayaking very fun. Due to rain we canceled the hiking. Drinks on the beach instead. We were a group of 72yr olds and managed this excursion just fine, although we are experienced bikers but not with kayaking.

Next time hopefully not as rainy and we get to complete tour. Was still Good fun. Mark and Giles

Fun trip

We had a good time on this trip. You start out the bike portion in the city. Lots of cars, but it wasn’t scary. It wasn’t too far to the kayaking place. It’s out of someone’s backyard into a Bay. The water isn’t clear. It was a very windy day and coming back in was difficult. We then got back on the bikes and went to a very nice beach. They ended up leaving us there a little longer than planned which was perfect. There was a bar/restaurant at the beach. The hike was more of a walk around an old fort. It wasn’t very far, but it was interesting. The guide was very nice and helpful. Overall it was a good trip.

Wonderful Antigua Outdoor Adventure Tour

Wonderful Antigua outdoor adventure tour!! A nice assortment of outdoor activities expertly led by Giles and Mark. We had a lovely bike ride, a kayak paddle in a cove, followed by time at a lovely beach and a walk to a fort. We would recommend this tour to anyone looking for a few hours of outdoor activity while visiting the island of Antigua.

Although the rain had made the kayak trip a little more difficult and the recent storm had made the beach unusable, our party had a great time on this trip. The guides were very friendly and accommodating to our needs.

The perfect activity for a day in Antigua!
peterplandini
, Dec 2019
The bike-kayak-hike combination was the perfect activity for a day in Antigua! We recommend it highly for cruisers in port for a day, looking for a mild to moderate activity to feel human again after indulging in cruise ship excesses!!! The equipment bicycles/helmets and kayaks/paddles were all in excellent condition and our tour guide/owners Giles & Mark were astounding in their attention to service and friendliness throughout the day. Nothing on the tour was too rough for anybody in average physical condition. The ride was flat for easy pedaling, the kayak was on glass calm water through the mangroves, and the hike was more or less a casual stroll through historic fort remains from British colony times. Giles was knowledgeable on the history of this beautiful island from colonization through modern times. And as a nice surprise, we had about an hour of beach time before riding back to port. So with a little swimming, it may actually count as 4 activities! So, if you are in Antigua for the day, look these guys up! You will be glad you did... We were! Donna & Pete.
