Wrong Hop on Hop off company should have used the Red boat instead of the green!

There was very little signage and so it was difficult finding out where to hop on this canal boat tour. Once we found the proper spot, after being directed to three different stops we had the canal tour on a good boat with good audio. Had to switch when driver was going on break to a boat with poor audio, no earphones. Would not use Somme Tours again, friend said that the bus seemed to run sporadically too, due to drivers and breaks.

I purchased the combo HOHO Canal w/ museum ticket, we hustled early in am to get to redemption center to learn we did not have the museum ticket portion. The HOHO rep said, "Sorry, it's not stated you cannot buy museum tickets on the website." We did receive refund for the tickets, but then we had to hustle to buy museum tickets. The point of pre-purchasing at one time was to eliminate that. We were fortunately early enough to get museum tickets(about the same cost as the refund) for the time we wanted.

There are THREE hop on/hop off lines in Amsterdam! Had no idea because one line seemed to be the most prominent – it included both bus and canal tickets. Our group used this line on our first day, so my sister and I assumed (incorrectly) this was our purchased ticket line for next day. Turns out we were wrong and the one we purchased (Stromma) wasn’t anywhere near the Van Gogh museum when we tried to use it! Wasted $$$; wound up taking a taxi (sigh!)

We have done Hop On Hop Off busses before but this was our first Hop On Hop Off boat tour. It was wonderful. You get views from the canal that you can get no other way. The commentary was great. We went around twice and got off to enjoy some of the features of the city. The boat was very comfortable with plenty of room. The roof opened and closed depending on the weather which was a definite plus. I highly recommend that you take this tour. Thumbs up for sure!!

Not only was this tour educational, we were able to save money by using our hop-on hop-off pass, since it was valid for 24 hours. Instead of buying train tickets, we used the boat as our transportation.

We had 48 hour tickets - really handy to be able to use as a way to get about when your feet are tired. Gives you a different view of the city and commentary adds to the experience. Would have been even better had boats gone both ways or more frequently - we would have used it more.
