Vancouver Police Museum Tours and Activities
Housing more than 20,000 artifacts, photos, and archival documents, the Vancouver Police Museum is North America's oldest police museum. Visitors of every age can learn Vancouver's history of crime and law enforcement in the museum, which is located in a heritage building that once housed the city's coroner's court, morgue, and crime laboratory.
The museum offers many tours, from self-guided to specifically designed tours that focus on Vancouver's growth through the years. In the main gallery, discover the beginning of the Vancouver Police Department, including the traffic squad and the mounted unit. You'll also get an in-depth look at the weapons and gadgets used by both cops and criminals.
In the Sins gallery are all kinds of weapons and gambling devices, in addition to counterfeit money and various weapons. The True Crime gallery, set in the original city morgue, features photos and real historical evidence from some of Vancouver's most famous (and unsolved!) historical crimes.
