Start your trip in Santa Marta with a dose of history. This city, founded in 1525, is the oldest city in Colombia, and the historic center is perfect to explore on foot. In the afternoon head over to Taganga, a quiet fisherman’s town 15 minutes from Santa Marta, for a swim at the beach and to watch the sun set.
