Travelers have myriad options to explore the enchanting area as part of a half-day, full-day, group, or private sightseeing tour, each with a special focus, such as culture (museums, perfume workshops for kids, pétanque, jazz), food and wine (chocolate, charcuterie, macarons, and champagne tastings), and even fun Polaroid photo safaris. Transport on tours run the gamut too, from walking and cycling to Seine hop-on/hop-off cruises.

Great experience!
This was a highlight of our trip to Paris. Nadia was very knowledgeable and shared a great deal of French history with us. We loved the neighborhood of St. Germain and the food was wonderful!

Paris Prestige : Saint-Germain-Des-Prés Food Tour
Wonderful guide Joaquin, pleasant walk through cool old narrow streets. Nice variety of often award winning shops fair sampling. Jams, olive oil, breads, pastries, a sit down for meats and wine, then finish with cheese. Highly recommended.

Saint-Germain Flavors Sweet & Savory Food Tasting Tour
Great tour! We sampled incredibly delicious foods, got a sense of St Germain history and feel, and hung out it a popular local gathering spot for wine, delicious charcuterie, cornicons, cheese, and conversation. Best of all was our guide, Nicolas, who lives in the neighborhood and clearly loves it. He is knowledgeable, personable, and very nice. He really cared about our enjoyment and took great pleasure offering surprises along the way. Everyone had a great time.

Saint-Germain The Original Chocolate, Pastries & Macaron Tasting Tour
One of our absolute favorites! Nicholas was amazing. He truly understands his subject and gave us a wonderful insight into the world of chocolate that I wasn't expecting, but was so happy to discover. He also gave us peeks into his neighborhood that increased our enjoyment and the treats we had were truly special and beyond delicious.

Saint-Germain The Original Chocolate, Pastries & Macaron Tasting Tour
My husband and I had to work remotely from Paris so we sent our two teenagers on this tour. Their feed back was that it was super cool! It was historical and yummy. Their guide was Stephane Planchais. He even dropped them off at our apartment after the tour!

Lonely Planet Experiences: Paris Food & Drink Tour Of Saint-Germain
It rained all day. In the morning to avoid the rain, we went the Pantheon in the Latin Quarter. Then we met with our tour guide, a young man very knowledgeable and kind. We went on the long walk he had planned and listened attentively as we all got soaked. When we reached Café de Flore on Blvd Saint Germain, we parted our ways to have some food. I highly recommend this’s tour.

A Tasty Must Do

Saint-Germain The Original Chocolate, Pastries & Macaron Tasting Tour
Our group would give it more stars if we could. Our guide was passionate about the history, the area, and the chocolate. It was a hot day so he brought water for everyone. The walk was not intense it was very casual and enjoyable with a stop built in to sit rest and drink. We have several allergies in our group and with the exception of one stop location they were able to accommodate and let them have a sample. It is a bit of sweetness and more to sample than expected. We did not have lunch before so many were okay to finish sampling but a few in our group saved a macaron or two for later. The tour lets you try the many types of chocolate, macarons, and pastries. The shops were beautiful and a must see.

Saint-Germain The Original Chocolate, Pastries & Macaron Tasting Tour
Incredible for the whole family!! Must do in Paris. My 8 year old son LOVED it. Our guide was so knowledgeable and fun - we went to a dozen or more shops, had hot chocolate, even went to a hole in the wall spice shop where we got to smell all these amazing spies from around the world. We got tastes of all the different chocolates and pastries from each shop. We were very full by the end! LOVED this!!

Luxembourg Garden and Museum One of the quarter’s most sublime pleasures is to spend time in the Luxembourg Garden (Jardin du Luxembourg). Marie de' Medici, the widow of King Henry IV, created these perfectly manicured lawns and flower beds placed around sumptuous fountains and pools as part of her palace here. Within the gardens is Paris’s oldest public museum, Musée du Luxembourg, which opened in 1750.
