Eiffel Tower

5 Avenue Anatole, Paris

The Basics

The Eiffel Tower's first floor features exhibits, kid-friendly experiences, and the 58 Tour Eiffel restaurant; the second deck includes the Jules Verne Restaurant; and the third-floor summit, accessible via a glass lift, features Gustave Eiffel's private apartments and a Champagne bar. Of course, all levels offer striking 360-degree views of the City of Light.

Although a testament to the structure's global popularity, the crowds can be quite large, meaning that priority-access tours are highly recommended—in peak season, long lines mean waits can often exceed three hours. Save precious sightseeing time by booking a skip-the-line Eiffel Tower ticket with or without a tour guide; this experience can combined with a Paris city tour that covers the top sights, such as the Arc de Triomphe, the Notre Dame Cathedral, Moulin Rouge, Montparnasse, and the Louvre museum. If you'd rather view the iconic structure in all its glory than head to the top, book a Seine River cruise, or a walking, biking, or Segway tour.

Very good tour. The Eiffel Tower wasn’t very busy due to COVID protocols and it was very nice! I appreciated the guides knowledge and explanation of the tower’s history and the changing landscape of Paris

The tour was great as it kept us from standing in the 2hr wait line . The guide gave the tour in English and French which was helpful as well as giving Eiffel Tower information from each direction the Tower faced . I highly recommend this tour from History Group

Eiffel Tower Tour with Direct Elevator Access to Summit
Enjoyed hearing about the Eiffel Tower history. Even though the day was overcast, a trip to the top is well worth it.

Eiffel Tower Skip the Line and Small Group Tour with Summit Access by elevator
I think Demi (our tour guide) must be the friendliest French guy in existence. He made the tour so much more interesting with everything he told us about what we could see around the Eiffel tower on each of the 4 sides. He is French but his English is better than most English speaking people!

Eiffel Tower Climbing Experience with Guide and Optional Summit Upgrade
Fun to walk up the stairs to the second stage - able to see the structure of the Eiffel Tower properly. Had a great guide who told us the history. A really enjoyable walk up 600 or so stairs !!!!!! Not as daunting as sounds ! Then took the lift to the summit - had a glass of champagne overlooking Paris. Great fun. Highly recommend.

Dining Cruising the Seine & Eiffel’s Glittering Tower’s Summit
The only slight glitch was that we didn’t receive the update of the program about the switching between the Eiffel Tower and dinner so a bit of commotion at the beginning but other than that everything else was top: the driver picking us up from the hotel and bending backwards to help us, the Eiffel Tower guide and the cruise / the staff on the boat. Especially for a first timer to Paris (and not only) the experience is one that cannot be missed. Highly recommended!

Paris in One Day with Louvre and Eiffel Tower Guided Tour plus Seine Cruise
Absolutely worth the price to do this tour. We had a small problem finding the initial meeting spot, but once we were there everything was amazing! We loved being able to skip the line into the Louvre and being guided to the important works. The Seine cruise was nice and we got a voucher to hop on/off for 24 hours. We loved the Eiffel Tower and being able to go up to the second floor- really nice photo opportunities! I would recommend this tour to anyone who doesn’t have a lot of time in Paris

Eiffel Tower Morning Tour by Elevator Optional Summit & Seine River Cruise
We had the very first tour of the morning. Our guide was very friendly and shared much of the history of the Eiffel Tower prior to and during the tour. We had the option of going to the very top or just to the 2nd and 1st floors. There was a great museum on site and the views of course were spectacular. We very much liked the personal escorting to the Tower and Tour.

Things to Know Before You Go

  • Plan your visit in advance and book skip-the-line tickets to avoid long wait times.

  • If you purchase an admission ticket for Eiffel Tower summit access, you'll head straight to the top before stopping at the lower levels on your downward journey.

  • There are ATMs and souvenir shops on the ground floor.

  • The tower's first two levels are wheelchair accessible, but the summit is not.

  • You'll be required to undergo a security screening before entering the tower.

There's no bad time to visit the Eiffel Tower, but summer and the holiday months are especially atmospheric, and night tours afford luminescent panorama views. For a unique experience, coincide your visit with Bastille Day and see the tower illuminated by fireworks.
