The Basics

White limestone rocks along the riverbed create gentle rapids and tranquil pools for lazing about in the water. Visitors can tube or kayak down the river, or saddle a horse to ride trails that meander through tropical rain forest, passing under hanging vines and trees filled with exotic birds.

Travelers have many options to explore White River Valley as part of a half- or full-day private or group tour that may include additional adventures nearby. Starting out from Falmouth, Ocho Rios, or Montego Bay, travelers may swim in the magical Blue Hole or in the cascades of Dunns River Falls, or soak up reggae history at the Bob Marley Mausoleum. Some tours include lunch and a shopping excursion.

Fun tour. We're from Texas and tube...
Fun tour. We're from Texas and tube all the time, so we thought the helmets, life jackets, and plastic bottoms on tubes were a bit much. Our guide, The Rainmaker, was entertaining. River is beautiful with slow parts and 3-4 rapids. No plantation views or cool shops like the tour says however.

Calypso River Rafting Experience from Ocho Rios
The best experience #29 was our guide. I can’t remember his name! But, he was so friendly, very informative, entertaining and pleasant! The limestone massage was unforgettable! This is a must do in Ochos!!! We even received complimentary coconut water authentically out of the coconut at the end! We’ll never forget this experience!

Ocho Rios River Tour - Blue Hole, Dunn's River & Tubing
All of our guides were amazing and fun! Neil, Ricky, and Mr. T were excellent and so knowledgeable, helped my 67 year old mother navigate everything easily and we had the time of our lives! Our driver kept all of our success and passes safe! Margaret over the phones was very helpful and reassuring! No complaints, will definitely choose them again! ♡♡♡♡♡

Ocho Rios River Tour - Blue Hole, Dunn's River & Tubing
I tried uploading photos, but I think the files are too large! PLEASE BOOK NOW! Had the best time with Godfrey who drove us safely to every activity! Entrance fees and pickup from your hotel (restrictions apply) are included, but be prepared to tip the guides at every stop as well as your driver at the end! (All guides were very knowledgeable and this is important to ensure your safety). I was a bit hesitant to book this specific listing because they had so few reviews, but trust. It was perfection! For a time reference; We left our hotel (in ocho) 9am and got back around 1:45pm! It was a perfect activity day bundled into a few hours. Bring towels, sunscreen, waterproof case, alcohol/beer (water and a couple soft drinks were included), water shoes, and your mask. Since it was just us, my fiancé and I, who are in our 20s, we’re able to get through the activities relatively quick. Dunn’s- 1.25 hr with stops and pics; blue hole 1.25 stops end pics; white river 1 hour stops and pics. There is no rush though, move at your own pace. Our favorite stop was Dunn’s and the White River; the blue hole was cool if you like swinging and jumping in the water….. there are smaller waterfalls in the jungle with large blue holes. Dunns is amazing and the river tubing was a vibe! For older groups…. The trip up Dunn’s falls isn’t bad, but the walking to the blue holes was a bit intense. You’re literally walking in the jungle…. A lot of maneuvering tree trunks, makeshift ladders, and steeper steps. If you have any walking/knee problem specifically…. Please be careful because it is slippery. Lastly, do not worry about bringing all your belongings to every stop. Your bag/clothes/shoes/whatever are safe in the bus while you do each activity.

Ocho Rios Private Horse Riding, River Tubing and Rafting[Entry fee not included]
As past reviews say, Andre is the best. He is very polite and actually cares about your experience. He knows his way around. Stops for food. Points out nice landmarks along the way. Our excursion had to be bumped up to 7am instead of 9am due to Jamaica reinforcing their curfew and Andre emailed and called us to let us know. He was professional and on top of everything. He did explain that the entry fees exact price is not listed on Viator because they will not let him list them. But just to let you know it is between 130 and 150 total for entry fees per person. also, BRING SMALL BILLS FOR TIPS. The excursions themselves were fun! Bring water shoes, a towel, and a change of clothes. also suggest a waterproof case so you can take your own photos! your tour guides will also take your photos using your phone they are vert helpful. Thank you Andre!

Combo Blue Hole & River Tubing Tour from Ocho Rios
This was an excellent excursion!! Our driver Kenneth was amazing for the day! We started at Blue Hole and the water and views are breathtaking. We had our own personal guide since it was pretty empty and had the best clay massage under the waterfalls! Our next stop was tubing on the river which was nice and relaxing after the hiking at blue hole. Jamaica had a 2pm curfew on Sunday but we had plenty of time at both locations and made it back to our hotel by 1 pm. Excellent excursion and highly recommended.

A Bit of Colonial History Keep your eyes peeled for the historic Spanish Bridge, which dates back to the 1600s and is located at the top of the river. A gentle green slope allows you to climb out of your tube or kayak and up to the top of the low-lying bridge where you can leap into the crystal-clear water below.
